I only said that because it's likely the topic's gonna be drowned by 0.6 release schedule talk before we reach that number and the convo swings back sometime after (unless 0.6 manages to put a spotlight on that, in which case yeah it's going to be talked about even before we hit 20-50 pages from now).

I am definitely not the guy to ask about theories, I usually take a wait and see approach. Although your comment made me remember I decompiled the game which reminded me about some of the weird images typically shown in game for a brief second

Someone like Dorfnutter has likely already given a much better explanation of this, but if I was a betting man I think Carib D was inspired by the esoteric interpretation of the Ouroboros when he was creating the narrative framework for Eternum.

Specifically, esoteric concepts the Ouroboros can represent such as the union of the conscious and unconscious in Eternum's case, or the concept of Eternal Return and the interconnections between life, death, and rebirth as a path towards immortality and transcendence, for example. I do believe there's a yet unexplained connection to Orion in all this, considering both the Founder and Idriel's immediate interest in him.

I don't really want to read too much into it though, especially when the update is dropping next week and will paint more of the overall picture.

Also explains why he wasn't in school after this incident. Im sure my guy is thoroughly shook seeing the soul? engram? whatever of his dead friend reanimated as an NPC.

Funnily enough, I think i've been around since... 0.2? I genuinely missed it and although this is the only VN on F95 I actually care about unless there's an update around the corner or previews on the verge of dropping you likely wont find me on F95 anymore lol

Yeah, the first one shows up in a series of images right at the beginning of the first dream (or should I say nightmare?) in 0.1. The latter image shows up right at the end of 0.1, and could just be a nothing-burger as it's just a collage of important people Orion met in that particular update before said update formally ends.

Likely "no-lifing" Eternum to look for the Benjie look-a-like, which may have been sent elsewhere after the party.

I agree there's definitely a significant possibility it is a nothing burger.

Really wish I hit refresh before I made my previous post, thank you for bringing up that post I made earlier this year. I'd completely forgot ever making it, kind of changes my perspective a bit considering what I know now about the Ouroboros and the shroom event with Idriel at the party because the Ouroboros can also represent a cyclical rather than linear perspective of time.

Work is and will remain slow for me for a few months... I think i'll join you in the rambles when 0.6 provides new insights. I'll try to catch up on previous theories before then

I was looking at variables and saw Goat could this mean I should've gotten the goat for luna because mod said not to get anything,might start again and get it and have 2 saves with and without Goat just incase, any suggestions?

I have heard it has pretty good character writing and development. But it's format is still very slice of life, and I don't like slice of life type stories in any type of media I consume, be it Movies, TV Shows, Animes, Books or AVNs. I really want that overarching plot to be the driving force behind the story. I appreciate good character writing and development of course, but I can't get into it unless the story and the world has already hooked me in.
