In the last update I think Caribdis was laying a lot of the groundwork for that conversation. I remember Alex said something about not minding sharing with Dalia, Luna had a vision when she touched Annie that was enough to make her blush, and Nancy has mentioned the general idea of Orion being involved with various girls a few times if I recall correctly.
It definitely feels like the harem will established as a thing by 1.0 at the latest, which would leave at least 4 more updates with the harem being part of the story, not just as part of the end credits.
That's assuming the game reaches 1.4, which I think is generally agreed to be about where it'll end up finishing.

1.0 wil be the finished game, after 0.9 there's going to be 0.10 then 0.11 and so on.

Doesn't mean we can't have Nan talking with Dalia and Penny about taking protection (or realizing they've missed their periods if pregnancy is enabled) or maybe tips on how to please Orion better given she's the more experienced of the group and such.
Well, there's a workaround, there's a couple of games that have done this in different ways, one is to leave the chance to the player to choose their relationship with such characters, meanwhile they are tagged as friends, landlord / lady, and so, or another is to simply create a patch where those relationships are fixed to the ones that patreon don't allow on their webs and if there are images, those can be added too, and then release said patch on a separated way (aka Discord server or lewdpatcher)

Except iirc he had a post on Discord saying as far as game content is concerned he won't lock that on a paywall. Public version will be the most polished and content heavy version of the game, with nothing locked to high tiers or exclusive to subs and all that.
Also, check my post above. He has made it pretty clear that he's not going to do explicit content with the Carters, and he's not gonna use loopholes to make it happen. Not worth the risk when Patreon could see through those loopholes and shut his account down by patching those loopholes in another updated ToS (like, it's why stepsibling/step parent/"incest roleplay" relationships are banned according to the new ToS because those are viewed as loopholes used by incest lovers to begin with).

Oh, ok, I see, well that pretty much sets that in stone so end of conversation in that matter, unless Cari opens an option for mods after the game being fully released, or that someone else tackles that by themselves as a 3rd party mod

Incest mods involving MC would make 0 sense with the story, so I doubt they'll ever be made.
Mods that make the Carters not related to each other... while that could be done, there won't be scenes between them. What would be the point of a mod like that, then?

The point is Cari gets around the incest ban by making the Carters not related in game but just like "roommates" and then a mod just changes the text to say they're sisters/mothers. That way the dev has plausible deniability saying they didn't put incest in their game but some "fan" made a mod to put it in. This sort of thing is all over this forum in other games.

Yes, but the point of the post was that Cari isn't going to make any group scenes between the Carters so such a mod seems pointless.

The whole roommate/landlady thing is sketchy at best, especially in Eternum where we see flashbacks of Nancy and the girls.
Besides, who knows how long that setup is going to last. It'll just need someone pointing out how there’s a clear 'power imbalance' (landlady over her tenants) between the parties and claims its coercion.
