Just imagine MC comes back to life and now he's traumatized, his skin becomes more and more bruised, his body is in constant pain and his mind is slowly breaking. The only thing that keeps him sane anymore are the stones.
Thus, everyone goes on a frantic hunt for the stones, becoming more and more desperate leading to the group becoming pretty heartless by the end.
Then they get to their last encounter with Thanatos where he does a fatal mistake that leads to his doom. A mistake that the MC points out to him:
Now with all of the stones acquired, he has the power to change the multiverse as he sees fit but sadly this is not the good outcome we all hoped for. See this entire time we forgot that he was in fact a broken individual. As he himself said:

No, his painful ressurection led to the creation of none other that Darth Orion and one of the many "Forum Endings" we as a community will come with.
Really we just need is to give the MC a glove and the memes will write themselves
P.S: This whole joke reply gave me an actual idea for an evil cast. I don't have the time to write that now tho so I'll come to it later.
But, but. Updates are supposed to come when you call them. Did Cari now train them well?
If he didn't then he should send them to that famous Update Whisperer to make sure they get well trained.

I just started Eternum and I'm not really feeling it (characters, music, story). I haven't actually gotten to Eternum yet, still going through the first day of school. How much better does it get? If I'm already not into it, will I probably not like it?

It gets a LOT better. You don't spend much time at school. I pretty much hate school-setting VNs, so I was leery at first too but things change quickly.

The story really startswith Eternum. If you still don't feel it after the second episode, then the game is just not your type.

Hard for us to say, if you'll be able to get into it or not. I probably depends on what you don't like. If you don't like the art style or the slow build, than you're in for a rough ride, since those aspects don't change. If you didn't like the humor from the beginning, it will likely not work for you in later parts of the game either.
In the end I would recommend to play on and have an open mind about it. It isn't that long and when you a bit further in and it still didn't click, then it is probably not for you and you can still stop playing it. But if it actually DOES click it can be one of the best games on this site.
Hmmm... Orion has been experiencing this, however, it has stated that it is "the bleeding", where the mind gets "overloaded" by Eternum, thus making the person to see such things on the real world, but those aren't real. HOWEVER, is known that Orion holds some sort of hidden ability, due his higher synchronization rate with the Eternum devices, which could potentially makes him seeing more than what reality shows to us, simple humans, said that, I'm theorizing 2 possible scenarios:
