And tbh I'm glad it's around that length. I've said a long while back in this thread that 15 would be pushing it and beyond that would be overkill since the story doesn't seem to have that many side plots to begin with.

Not to mention there's the danger of Cari cannibalizing ideas for the next game if this one were to be longer, so it's nice that he knows when to put his foot down and letting a good thing end instead of going the milker route and stretch it past its prime.

I firmly believe he'll stop when the story is over. Doesn't strike me as someone who drags the story beyond the point when it's over. Certainly didn't with OiaLT. That's one of the things I really like about his games.

Nah with OIAL it's more like he wanted to move on from HS1 and his aging laptop to HS2 and his new workstation so he finished the game as best as he could. Note that the former was made without any existing outline so he's a lot more flexible with that game but it also resulted in him just making things up as he went which resulted in the game's somewhat uneven pacing and lack of a proper final battle in the end.

Compare that to Eternum where he does have an outline with all the major plot points jotted down while still having some freedom with having no pre-written plans for the LI events (which he doesn't write until he starts working on the update itself to keep things fresh). While the trouble with that is that he can't be completely flexible with the main plot like in OIAL, the benefit of being able to scatter clues that serve as foreshadowing to events and have better pacing outweigh that negative IMO.

That's true, yeah. You're totally right about all of that. I still believe he won't be dragging the story, though. He seems to dislike remakes, going back, etc. And he's been talking about a new game several times, so I think he'll finish it around the 13th update and move on. That's the vibe I get from his messages, anyway.

We have like... two or three years until Eternum is done? IIRC 0.13 is supposed to be the finale, so we still get to spend a while with these characters before their stories are done.

Unless Cari decides to kill off a character or three next update for shits and giggles.

Don't recall him mentioning that on Discord (unless he posted it in the higher tier channels). The only thing that's sure is that the third game might be set in a different universe, though he didn't rule out the idea that he could still change that and set it in the OIAL-Eternum continuity after someone suggested that he do a heavy timeskip for it. Regardless, it's still probably early to speculate what the game/s would be about (tho I wouldn't say no to a full medieval AVN from Cari).

One small detail in this that isn't getting enough attention: Callbacks.

He's really hitting on certain details with certain LIs and making it so that people who pay attention to the first parts have benefit and payoff for what's done in them. So when you remember in the latter half about how each character grows and becomes a stronger individual, it's really giving a more beneficial tale...

We don't know yet, but given that the game offers us to enable or not "pregnancy" at the beginning of the game, it's almost certain that some girls (or all of them) will end up pregnant.

Just had the H scene of Alex in 0.7 . Holy shit !! That was epic ! The quality was insane . This is easily the longest and best H scene of the game . Alex is such a beast and Wild . And I love how she was left after that with her Ass up covered with cum . Used up like that . Also he cum inside her so will she be pregnant? Isn't that risky?

Is the dev doing the script and renders all by himself . If so , then huge respect . I tried animating and rendering once and it takes hella long . If it was me , Each update would take 2yrs . The dev can hire another render artist

That is why the alex scene was so high quality! Please keep him forever . I heard nancy has another scene left , Did dread animate it too?
