The thing is, I think it's with fans' best interest at heart. Plus, look at Caribdis vs MANY others as well with being transparent as others said. Calling this milking is a wild and trash hot take lol. And they have a great track record so they are trustworthy. One completed game which was very very fulfilling, and another game which already has a TON of content in it, despite being only 8 full chapters in (which probably isn't even 80% of what the full story will be, but less. Meaning more content in the next updates).
And when I say they best interest, I mean what the fans want. What most of us want. MORE. The sheer amount of people I've seen crying that they don't want it to end yet, praising what there is so far, and hoping for plenty more to come, and even asking for some sort of "postgame" of sorts, or something sandboxy? is overwhelming. And I feel the same way. I loved the first game's ending, and what I played so far of this one, I'm nothing short of amazed. There's really no game like it. It 100% deserves the glazing it's getting and will continue to get. It's honest work they're doing here. And it's passionate. The thing is, people have lives, they need rest, a healthy diet, sleep, a good workout routine, good exercise, cardio, all that. Days off, vacations. And when you're your own boss, too, you deserve that.
I'd much rather the creator and everyone working on the game in any way takes the time and effort to take care of themselves and their health as their #1 priority. The LAST thing I want is a rush job, or something that doesn't hit as hard in later chapters as it did earlier on, because everyone started getting too entitled for their own good, and super demanding. Giving someone your money doesn't mean you own them and get to tell them what to do. If you think it does, you're just like the rich people you hate and criticize so much, saying they're awful people and don't know how to treat people. Just saying...
And I am confident I'm not in the minority when I say I KNOW they will deliver.
Besides, what's one more year? Already waited this long. Just find other things to do and stop obsessing over it every single day. That's just you building the outer gates of hell around yourself (Making your own life hell). Remember that time is relative and it speeds up or slows down depending on an individual's own perspective and mentality. You watch the clock in class and those hands are gonna move slower. That second hand will start to seem sluggish. Look away and forget about the time, and before you know it, a minute, or even an hour, has already gone by. Same concept for days and months and years. To be honest, wouldn't you rather make sure the time between now and the next update, is fulfilling and productive for you in your life? Instead of wasting it, checking constantly for an update or even just a release date of something? Subscribe/Donate to help out if you can. And when it comes, it comes. I don't get why people act like they have to get their hands on something that's free or without a quantifiable supply, the day, no, the SECOND it comes out. What are you losing out on by getting it a day or a week late? Or a few months. Let yourselves be distracted for once in your life, and refresh yourselves and your spirit, and come back when you're restored and boom, you'll be 100% ready and be able to enjoy it to the fullest. Waiting to play/watch or simply experience something doesn't change what it is or its quality. If it's not a live service game or something like that, it will be the same tomorrow as it is today.
And keep in mind, patreon aside, the game itself is FREE for EVERYONE and always will be. You've gotta respect and appreciate Caribdis for doing that with both of their games which could go for as much as any other X rated game on Steam. You literally don't even have to give them a cent of your money to play both games to your heart's content, gooning all over the place. So chill, seriously. Learn to relax and take a breather, instead of breathing down people's necks because they're not meeting your demands or would-be demands in a way YOU think they should. Most of us are ignorant in regards to how the development of a game like this goes. And we don't live in a perfect world. They still gotta make a living. Unless you want them to go work a job that gives them no time to work on the game you want to be done right now, so they don't have to ask for support? Lol. And then their physical and mental health (and sleep schedule) go down the drain if they were to give in to your demands for some stupid reason, and work themselves down to the bone to do a fraction of the amount of work on the game over far longer periods of time, due to less free time. And then you can say goodbye to an earlier release date, too.. Maybe some of you could try to reach deep down and grab hold of your slipping humanity?
So, again. I say they take all the time they need. The more time between now and the update, how I choose to see it is that 1. the quality and quantity will just go up. And 2. THEY WILL GET THE REST THEY DESERVE I WOULD HOPE. BECAUSE THEY ARE THE GOATS. That is all. Good night, you ungrateful little basturds
EDIT 10/16: I forgot to say this before. I mean I had a lot to say so yeah ^^' But I remembered this point and that I hadn't said it in my post. Just want to add... Another thing is that there are multiple routes, paths, and endings, and alternate interactions, dialogues, text messages, scenes etc etc ETC. in the game, it's not just a straightforward singular path game, so I mean, that adds to the time it takes, definitely. Something everyone should remember. That just goes to show how much work and thought is put into this project. That they account for so many different choices you make, in a PROPER way. Which is not always handled as competently as this game does tbh. That's all

Till next time!
