I saw an image from Caribdis' Discord posted here, saying that there will be a new game after Eternum. I was curious if there were any more details, but it seems there aren't. Oh well. Eternum is huge—it’ll be hard to match it. But with Caribdis, you have to expect anything, I guess.

The only details we know so far is that he already has an idea for the premise and major characters jotted down, and that he's thinking about setting the game in a different universe (though last I checked he said he's still internally debating if he should since he said he wouldn't mind having all his games set in the same continuity ala the MCU).

Saw there was an incest patch for this. Is there any point to it or is it mostly there for people who need incest in their games? Like, does Eternum feel like it had incest planned?
I played it once with and once without. To be honest it doesnt seem like its needed and sometimes it doesnt make much sense so no I dont think it was planned to be incest.

No, no real point in it. There are no on-the-nose lines like "oh no, how can my own tenant look at me this way" that indicate that a patch is expected.

One thing I'll give Cari is he knows how to leave you at a cliffhanger. I first finished the game at the end of 8.5 and was like NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, why end here???
Then I ended the game at the end of the update for 8.6 and was like NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, why here???

I would say no, there isn't a point to it story-wise. It is very much written with this NOT being an incest story and depending on how the story progresses in the future, we might actually learn the MC's real mother or were he comes from at least, which could then clash with that patch.

Whatever gets the update out faster...
This game is peak af. But I can't help but feel like these long AF waits just RUIN the flow of the experience. It's too long now.
