PDF walkthrough guarantees you a private islandI don't have an unmodded save. I have modded saves. Specifically LightmanP multi-mod. The point is I can load these in 0.8.6 unmodded game. If 0.9 vanilla also works then I (and the rest of you using multi-mod) don't have to wait for the multi-mod release which is at least 36 hours after the posts it on Patreon.
I don't like using a pdf walkthrough. It's too easy to spoil myself with one. Once the update drops I won't read this thread, hell I won't even open the gallery until I reach the end of 0.9

Hey Guys, if I played till 0.8 with the achievement mod installed, do I need a play through without the mod to instantly play 0.9 when it drops?

Probably, the mod saves usually messes up with the unmodded game. If it works then fine if not then just turn on skip unseen text and right click the skip button to quickly jump to choices for the quick replay

I know it's done a lot but afaik it's unsafe to use save files from other people (you can put code into it that will be run by renpy)Could you share your unmodded save just in case mine won't work? Please and thank you

I think poor Dorf's finger (at least I hope he was tapping with his finger) has been worn down. Someone asked about the update and he wasn't the first to respond. And this is why I like this community.
IMO there's basically 3 archetypes for the girls. Luna/Annie/Nova are the cute, shy, girl next door/little sister sort of archetype. Penny/Dahlia/Alex are the extremely uncommon (in most media) girlboss who's not an insufferable bitch archetype (confident, somewhat aggressive, sometimes a little bitchy but not to an annoying extent, maybe a bit of the bad girl thrown in there as well). And Nancy is the horny, desperate housewife, dommy mommy archetype. I think I would throw Calypso into the girlboss category too although she hasn't had enough naughty scenes yet to really tell for sure how those will play out. Will she let MC dominate or will she insist on remaining the dominant one? Who knows?

if you enable the code viewer in universal renpy mod youll understand how big a update 20k lines of code is. everytime you hit space bar to move to next scene that counts as 1 line of code. most updates in games are like 4k if your lucky. before this update the total game was either 54k or 100k lines of code i dont remember which but this update at a minimum is 20 percent of entire game lolView attachment 5551912You must be registered to see the links

Sorry for the slight delay on this post, I was prioritizing the update itself, which, as you’ll probably be delighted to hear, won’t be delayed!
0.9 is finally upon us!
I know it probably feels like I have been repeating the same thing a thousand times throughout the year… but let us sum it up one last time
This is a big update, even bigger than 0.8. It includes four new fully animated lewd scenes featuring different girls from our harem, thousands of new dialogue lines, new songs, new adventures, new gameplay mechanics, and much more!
I will share the exact numbers in two days when the changelog goes live, but as you can see, it's a big update, at least compared to my usual standards. Next updates will be slightly smaller (and with a shorter dev time too).
- Over 2,000 new renders
- Over 90 animations
- Over 20,000 lines of code
You know I love packing each update with a wide variety of scenarios, and 0.9 is no exception. (Mild spoilers ahead.) If you remember the ending of 0.8, we were transported to Hyril’ar with Calypso after our battle against Thanatos, so a significant portion of this update takes place there. Fortunately, the elves will surely be thrilled to see their princess returned safely in the arms of a human. So there is absolutely nothing to worry about.

We will also spend plenty of time back in Kredon, including lots of slice-of-life moments, funny scenes, cozy interactions, and more romantic bonding moments with your favorite girls. It will even be around Christmas in the game (isn’t it fitting? ), but make sure you don't forget about your ultimate goal either… because our enemies certainly never do...
Will you be able to handle everything without losing any of the girls’ affection along the way?

This year has not been an easy one.
Aside from some personal matters I would rather not go into, there was the music licensing issue at the beginning of the year, which forced me to replace a large portion of the game’s soundtrack. That was especially hard for me, as music means a great deal in my work, and I truly would not have managed without the help of the community.
On top of that, itch.io temporarily removed adult games from its catalog during a wave of censorship (caused by payment processors) aimed at anything labeled as adult content. That uncertainty added yet another layer of stress to an already difficult period.
I struggle with anxiety at times, and this year has been particularly challenging. Those of you who deal with it (or depression) will understand that it is not always rational, yet it can make it really difficult to be functional.
Even within such a small and niche space like AVNs, the more visibility you gain, the greater the expectations become. More opinions, more criticism, more fear of not living up to what people hope for. I fully understand that everyone wants the game they love to go in a certain direction, but it is impossible to satisfy every expectation.
I always try my best to improve, to stay productive, to create the best thing I can, but in the end I'm still the same guy, and I know my limits.
I hope you guys always continue playing the game with the same spirit I had when I first started: to laugh, to get to love the characters, and above all, to simply enjoy the adventure despite its flaws.
As for me, I can only feel grateful for the community I have. Every comment, every message, and every show of support means more than I can ever express. When I say at the end of my posts that you are the best, those are not just words. I truly mean it.

Well, I am happy to announce that everything went according to plan during this final stretch, so… YES! IT'S THIS WEEK!
As usual, I will be posting the final changelog and the final release dates for each tier in a single post soon (probably this Wednesday). There is still some work left to do, but the plan is to release the update for Demon Lord tier this FRIDAY 26th, right after Christmas! After that, there will be a few weeks of early access following the schedule for the different tiers, like always.
So now more than ever, STAY TUNED FOR THE DEFINITIVE CHANGELOG IN TWO DAYS!

97,346 lines just adding the script file's line totals together. The previous update was the largest so far at 16,933(0.8); the smallest update was 9,561(0.4). So yeah, about 20%
I think most people can't really picture what some large number of lines of code looks like. But as a point of comparison a 1000 page book has around 30-40k lines of text. So this update is basically a 500 page book not including the renders or animations.
