Ineffective how? Even if Orion manages to save the girls, that's still 600,000 people who are never gonna get their lives back and the world economy potentially going haywire since a lot of businesses and economies rely on the VRMMO being functional. Plus with the ban on implant usage Orion will likely have to break his promise on not bringing the girls with their real bodies to Eternum. Even with the plot armor, that basically opens up the possibility of them potentially dying for real in bad endings and such (probably even earlier if Orion starts teleporting them as early as next update). And even tho those deaths are non-canon, it's prolly still gonna be painful to see.
Am i tripping or didnt this game have an incest tag before? Its been a long time since i played it and im about to start a fresh playthrough but i could have sworn that the mc moves in with his cousins their mom, cant remember if she was his aunt by blood or marriage but her daughters were the mc cousins werent they? I may feel dumb once i boot up the game soon but i could have sworn that was the case. I see the alabama mod but im pretty sure i never used that and there was no sister fuckin going on in this one just cousin fuckin.

What do you mean? That lyre song was a Masterpiece. Those elves just don't have adequate tastes. Ineffective in that a good cliffhanger leaves many immediate paths open. Right now, we already know how the update will start: Orion will jump into Eternum to help the harem find their way back, the only difference is that we don't know if he'll learn where they are from the group chat or the first act will be him looking for clues and the girls doing their best to survive in parallel.
Oh yes, Ripples is up there two, but between Eternum and Pale Carnations, I can't really pick one. (Hana, my beloved vs all the female cast of Eternum? I can't choose). Also Ripples hasn't reached any scenes where it was just pure pursuit of carnal pleasure when it has happened on both Eternum and PC.

Is there a fake updated file posted on Gofile or am I missing something? The 0.9.0 version from Gofile ends at the exact same spot as 0.8.0 at the lake with injured Calisto, and no I dont have any mod installed, or is there some kind of patch that I missed?

Assuming they survive long enough for that and not die out from the civil war and their declining birth rates as the Hyril'ar story arc for this update seems to be implying.
That's the general course of action, sure. But I disagree that immediate paths are limited. As the note mentioned they're all at Alex's place so Orion could try going there to see if they're still logged in (and possibly destroying Alex's door in the process). He could try contacting them through phone or group chat, or jump straight away from where he is and pull a Thanny where he jumps through multiple servers to find them. He could also try contacting the WRE in the real world, ask them for info where the girls were last seen, maybe organize a search with those who are still logged in and haven't seen the news. Point is, there are many possible paths open and could be taken just as there were in every cliffhanger that came before this one.
