There'a a chance we're gonna bump into him (and Aspen) again in the event Orion and co ever go to Ulysses HQ (currently in my theory board as a potential event that's going to happen in the future, especially if we end up needing to confront William over something (one potential scenario is that Caly gets captured by Ulysses at some point after she crosses over and we bust into Ulysses HQ to save her). So yeah, they sometimes add an Easter Egg and cameos from their works here and there, but Cari himself said that those are just that: Easter Eggs.
In this case I'll take his word for it given that it'll just make every game referencing Eternum* or having a cameo character there mean that all of them take place in the 2030s (which is the decade that Eternum takes place), and that's just effing weird.
