Regardless, I appreciate the feedback. I really would like to know more about the engine. Of course, I'm not trying to get into the specifics you mentioned, but am I correct to assume, then, that the app I have on iOS (Spark) uses a more current version of Ren'Py to run this and other games, whereas if you're just running it directly from the .exe, it's using whatever version the game is based on? If that's how it's set up, the concept seems like the iOS app is essentially a Ren'Py emulator of sorts instead of a WINE skin, at least from my (very) limited understanding. If I'm way off base, you're free to have a good chuckle and move along, but I'm just curious to understand it a bit betterI know you already decided to skip ahead using the Unseen Dialogue option, but for anyone else that has this problem, Eternum uses a quite old version of Renpy and a lot of the apps and websites that let you play it indirectly use at least Renpy 8+, which has some breaking changes in it. It is theoretically possible to make the saves work, but unless you know a lot about Renpy/Python internals its not worth the effort (and even if you do, just skip ahead, takes like 5 minutes).
TL;DR: Theoretically possible to make it work, but don't bother.
