It feels like the disagreement here is over whether you and your clone are actually the same person.

To some, watching your clone do something is no different than watching a video of yourself. You are merely witnessing your own actions.

To others, the simultaneous nature of your clone (they exist and act at the same time you do, unlike a video of yourself), as well is any possible agency on the clones part, make them a different being. They are a replica of you, but not you.

I fall into the second camp but depending on the specifics I can see the logic behind the first as well.

yes but that is true on the topic of clones. but if you split in half and feel/think/experience everything both halfs do and then when you get back into one full version you, you maintain memories of those feelings, thoughts and experience then its not clone, its you. if you split in two and one half dies, you lose that half of you forever (theoretically speaking, ofc we would need cari to confirm or deny if that is how it works but its safe assumption) so both parts are objectively "you". how is it still NTR then?

I don't really wanna get into the weeds of it, but I hope the next version scales back the seggs for some more story. Compared to some of the previous updates, I felt the last was a little lacking and almost felt rushed in some places. Make no mistake, it's still great and it's still Eternum and it'll probably play a lot better when it's "the whole game" rather than judging it update by update.

I'd love to be a fly on the wall and have some insight on what caribdis's plans are after Eternum. Seems like the guy can't put a foot wrong sometimes, he needs to be studied!

thats because weapons of atlas and gems of doom are not part of the game or something that ulyses created but rather found and try to control.

At one point it's stated (possibly truthfully - no way to verify) that the founder created Idriel and SHE created the weapons of Atlas.

i think its safe assumption that is a lie ulysses preach to players. we already know eternum is not just a game, that npc are not just that, so there is no reason why should we believe anything else said by founder or ulysses.

one thing i gotta praise Cari even more now is how far he came on writing, especially on how the harem is forming:

In OIAL it pretty much sums up to: "MC bangs all girls and they all agree on being ok with sharing him"

While in Eternum, Orion does realize he could be playing with all the girls' feelings, and tries to come up with a possible solution, until Nancy comes to his aid and takes upon herself to find a solution to breaking the news to the girls. (I don't wanna sound rude but it's basically telling him "don't worry sweetie, just keep banging them and me, don't break our hearts and i'll handle the rest", and i love her for that!)

I am here to rant and share my amusement when I was in Review reading 1 star ratings. I feel sad for those who has been playing slop tier story game and when they play this they are having a hard time adapting this level of story and character development. I truly feel bad for them.
I understand they try this game just to fap but everyone kind of did and stayed for story. and I saw a few of them saying characters look like a soyboy and love interests are rough around the edge expect for a few, Like damn do they play games where the characters developments is a myth and non existence.
Maybe I am being protective because I played since 0.1 but I seen so many games getting fuck over by their own creator. like Waifu Academy for example.

ok on that note. who else think the Creator isn't the bad guy and he was just doing something noble and we just assumed the worst. like I have 0 trust in Bardot and I don't like the Game Lady isn't saying what need to be.

If he wasn't a bad guy then why does the official walkthrough specifically state that we shouldn't take the amulet he offers? Especially considering how useful it sounds?

Plus, I think there was still a little bit of his cockiness on display. He stabbed it with a spear and the prime Jackal (or whatever it's called) immediately turns and bitch slaps Orion. He even say's "I didn't think they would be that fast". Dalia went with slitting throats and moving out of range of the 2 jackals to get to the crazy chic.

i think the others were also much weaker than the one he took down.

I understand. And I don't think it's worth the developer's precious render time to show a potential LI fucking someone else because we missed her. Agreed.
But the ending of the game could mention how their lives turned out without MC and I would be sad if they ended up as lonely nuns. I wish them all the best, I'm just not interested in a relationship with them. AVNs are often MC-centric, where the MC is the center of the universe, but I prefer live AVNs where absolutely everything in the world doesn't depend on you.

going further, it would be great if players could get more opportunities to set up rejected LIs with the MC's bros. we know the bros are good guys, we know the LIs are great girls. why should we try to help them be happy with each other as we are certain they are good people ? because just seeing they get with some random people in epilogues, we can't be sure they are happy. only that they found someone to date.

And yes, that would include the Gems of Doom.

nope. he can't bring back the gems of doom. if he could, it would have happened when he went back after the pirate arc, and when he went back after the mission with Dalia.

though we can wonder where the gems of doom and Dione are when MC & co are on Earth.

Which someone else with compatibility high enough might already possess.

Thanatos probably had high compatibility too. but now that he is dead, we are not sure he can go back to Earth. but he seems to be able to teleport between servers in some way. maybe with Hyas?

No, he didn't. He popped back in the UK to visit his folks, not because of a specific holiday or anything. The Christmas break hasn't happened yet as there's a scheduled Ski Trip with the Carter household that Orion mentioned in the Bus Stop back in 0.6. Hopefully we get to it in 0.9, since I don't think Orion is going to stay in knife-ear countryImean Hyril'ar for long.

it was not because of a holiday, but it was during the school break of that holiday, as they got a week or two off school. He was surprised Annie didn't go back home with him to visit her parents. probably a money issue. I found it weird because she seems to have significant amounts of money in eternals, and she is closer to her family than MC is to his father, and MC has less disposable income than her. there was less motivation for MC to go back than her. Even Chang didn't go back. like why did MC want to go back at all ?

I don't think that's proof of one way or the other. it could be any reason. but just the fact that he enslaves NPCs is already enough to put the villain label on him

Damn, i knew this update would probably be light on Penny after last update's awesomeness. But this update was practically Penny free. Still pretty good though.
