Ok, further along in my replaying, got to freeing Calypso. A few thoughts:
It's really striking going from Caly's latest development to her initial scenes. You start to see a resemblance to her latest character at the very end of the sequence, particularly when she just bluntly tells Alex that we're upset because we missed out on a chance to have sex with two women because we had to go through the portal, but otherwise she comes off as pretty different. One of the first things she says is that she's always been fascinated by human-elf sexual relations and that the more forbidden something is, the more alluring. Which, is actually pretty close to her latest development lol, but the part that's shocking is how she's just blurting it out in our first encounter with her.
We learned in the latest update that Caly had been missing from Hyril'ar for fifteen years, and that confuses the MC because that would be before Ulysses was founded, which was just over a decade ago. In some way that kind of makes sense, that the Founder would take some time between finding Caly (who may be in some way powering Eternum) and founding the company to front his endeavors. But Caly tells us after we free her that she has actually tried to use an exit portal before, before we ever freed her. So maybe she's not integral to the Eternum system, then, since it seems to have existed before her capture. Which raises a bunch of other questions. It seems likely that the Founder comes from another world anyways, but could it be that he made Eternum before ever coming to Earth? If so, then what's its purpose? Actually, I guess we don't know the Founder's intentions.. at all, even without any of that. Could Eternum in fact just be some sort of colonizing/imperialist effort by the Founder, to conquer all these worlds? And if so why then make it into a consumer experience for Earth? Is this the method he uses to colonize worlds, is Earth the next world on his list to turn into just another Eternum server? It seems like he would be able to do that much faster than in ten years, though. And Caly didn't appear to think negatively of the exit portals or associate them with Immortals or something, which we kind of think the Founder may be. Hmm.
(Also I don't think there's some shenanigans going on where time moves at different speeds, I think it's been shown pretty consistently in the story that time moves at the same rate throughout all the worlds.)
Calypso also demonstrates a wider range of powers initially than we later see, like changing the weather and such. Before finding her, we theorize she's some sort of "server-shaper" code, and that tracks with what we're initially shown of her powers. She says she "can do much more than summon portals", but I honestly can't recall much else magic-wise that she's done in the story. I guess she's been recuperating her power, and it was blocked until the latest update after she got her orgasm. Useful for the narrative so she's not too overpowered, I suppose. It'll be awesome to eventually see what she can really do, she should be able to go all out towards the end of story when Caribdis is more free to go wacky with the power levels.
