As I said, I want a patch but only IF someone who "totally isn't Caribdis in any form" intended to make one

I've read a few comments to that effect, but is less "totally not Caribdis" and more totally not caribdis as in actual completely separate people.

To my knowledge (may be wrong here I dunno), this game was going to be a patched game, but that plan was dropped. i.e. have a variable that you change.

Guess now one has to wait for an actual Third party, and not "Third party".

Given that change tho... I kinda lost interest in playing this... especially if it still has relationship dynamics that are kinda obvious it was meant to be patched (which seems to be the case). I really hate that shit, cause it is like "haha no patch for you" (obviously they aren't trying to do this, but well that is always the impression I get, and would rather just go play a vanilla game with no hint of it at all, instead of landlady roommate etc. bait).

Like the build up of anticipation for another wincest masterpiece... only to get cockblocked.... *see other wincest possible masterpiece*.... you know which one I am playing :S *goes and plays Being a DIK*.... jk waiting for it to be finished so I can nolife it like i did acting lessons.

I don't think it was ever meant to be patched, might have been an unintended side effect of the OIALT patch. At any rate, the story has been said to be incredible, so I am interested, incest or not. Would I have preferred incest to be taken into account so it could at least be added by modders? Sure. Would I play it as an incest game in its current form? No, given the lack of tells in the story, I would not be able to shake the feeling that the incest is being forced by the patch, so I would not enjoy it anywhere near as much as a game with that kind of content already accounted for even if only leaving gaps that can be filled by a patch.

Honestly, the only connection I see to incest in this game is that the game is made by a developer who made games that took the possibility of incest into account before.

Not only are you not remembering correctly, you're apparently getting the versions mixed up, which is impressive since this is only the second release.

Alex Bardot was introduced to us as the tattooed swimmer we have a project with (MC was assigned to her as a partner on the second day in version 0.1) and she couldn't do anything with the name Orion, which was then commented on by said class teacher that it was because she skipped school so often. She also never had a sister but had a brother from the beginning: Axel (even if we didn't know that he was her brother at that time). The only sisters we know of so far in VN Eternum are Penelope and Dalia. With the latter, said Alex has a good relationship, although I wouldn't necessarily call them best friends now, more like athletes who respect each other.

Penelope's photo shoot was not based on anything else. Orion offered to be her photographer in the 0.1 version, so there was no contradiction in the previous storyline and this update.

As for the presumed Stone of Doom: you didn't get it in 0.1. Orion had promised Luna to play Eternum with her.

As for the incest: I'm relatively sure that Caribdis announced early on that Eternum would not have one. Why some still believe to be able to recognize such hints: Well, who remembers the South Park episode with the fish stick joke and Kanye West? And I don't mean the part where West won't get the joke for the life of him. Or for the life of the guy who stole the joke, in that case.

He did, in no uncertain terms, say incest would not be accounted for.

The only bad thing I can say about this game so far is that I was so anticipating nancy to make her move on the MC I was hoping to see them engage in some lets say extra curricular activities. Got me all prepped and now the wait game lol but everything else has been amazing. I have really enjoyed the game so far and can't wait for more stuff to come

This second update it's even better thant the first one, the storytelling it's absolutely superb and totally engaging, and I'm leaving aside with that all the lewd events. I mean, they're obviously important since this is an Adult VN, but man, I'm really happy to see a developer that actually MAKES A NOVEL, NOT ONLY A LARGE SUCCESSION OF MEANINGLESS SEX SCENES. I love the well implemented duality between real-world events and the ones we enjoy inside Eternum, and in top of that, it's hilairous in some scenes. So, kudos to the Dev. This is a real gem.

Can't tell for sure, but is the mc an android/robot? I recall a joke where the mc is first told "they can't see you because you're dead."

But what if that's actually the case?

1. would explain why she said she couldn't see anything in his future, (if you convince her to take off the gloves) like touching a coffee cup.
2. would explain why he has 100% compatibility
3. seems like a more reasonable explanation for why he could catch an arrow midair without any combat experience

I think I'll have to rewatch the movie because apart from the CGI, I thought it was pretty bad. But if it shows parallels to Eternum (or vice versa) then it couldn't have been that bad. Maybe I'm just too old and can no longer remember even the good things.

Good call. The previous protagonist was a demon spawn.

And yeah, Caribdis confirmed harem ending is cannon, they share the same universe, so that would make your case better.

I never saw the movie but tried to read the book - more than once. Main character was so unlikable and never grew as a human being so that I didn't care what happened to them. Didn't finish the book. Of course "Ready Player One" is derivative of "the Matrix", "The Running Man", "Lawnmower Man" and several old Golden Age of Science Fiction short stories among many other things - so you could say this gets its inspiration from more than just "RP1" as well.
