And that means absolutely nothing. After v0.9 it can be v0.10 then v0.11 etc.
Yeah, while I'm really hoping it's more than 10 parts because I don't want the story to rush (though maybe it won't, idk, I'm just greedy for content) OiaL was 10 full parts so there's reason to believe this would be the same

Could easily be, but are not, the story isn't set up around it and even the developer has said incest will not be given any thought. A patch is not needed because there is no incest to patch, the developer specifically said there wouldn't be any. "You grew up together" is not an indicator of family, it can be, but it can also mean close neighbors and childhood friends of other sorts that grew up together. Patreon didn't do anything about "Once In A Lifetime" because they couldn't, there was no offense by the developer that they could prove and they could not strike Caribdis because of that. However, that game was specifically built around the sisters being sisters, step or otherwise, while "Eternum" is not.

We don't need it, especially when the game was not built around any sort of family, not even step. Incest games are specifically built with that content in mind, it doesn't work without feeling artificial and forced otherwise. Your example, "My New Family," is a prime example of one that was made to serve the kink and it works naturally and without being forced because of it. "Once In A Lifetime" was also built with the capability to patch out the step relation in mind. "Eternum" was built with no consideration toward any sort of incest, so out of the three I have named, this game would be the only one that would feel forced and unnatural.

'A friend of the family since he was young' could just as easily explain it without the incest part.

Exactly, but he is right about it being a kink. Pretty much everything is a kink at this point, but you are right that it is a form of love as well.

Yes they are, from the very beginning I might add. If incest is in the plan, then there are provisions made within the story for it to be added if it can't be added from the start. There are no such provisions here and anyone who patches it would have to go out of their way to make things fit incest because it was never meant to be here.

Indeed, it is entirely possible to form a relationship as close as siblings given enough time.
As I said, I want a patch but only IF someone who "totally isn't Caribdis in any form" intended to make one

It's going to be longer
Source: patreon pms and also the fact that there's so much more possibilities here with the huge virtual world

Reached the end of 0.2
It made me laugh, really happy laugh and smile . It made me freaking cry even.
Story and writing is simply masterpiece.
I have to admit that up to the point of entering Eternum it was big underwhelming. I couldn't connect to the girls, spark just wasn't there..
But it quickly changed with , how to word it.."dialog thinking" can i call it like that? Thoughts swapped between mc and girl , it was way too cute. It added some connection that was missing.
All the little things , Annie "panic" attack? was fabulous! Although i was bit surprised that MC didn't slip the kiss somewhere..?
Anyway . Its soo good that could easily be remade into animated tv series!
Well done!

Answer is buried at last post in previous page. I didn't mean to inconvenience or offend anyone. Its just me.

Are you sure about that?

Ah, someone's thinking outside the box.

I give the same advice as I give to others:

So... a lot of my current theories rest on the idea that there is one timeline, one (physical) reality. I make this assumption not because that there couldn't be multiple timelines and/or realities, but because this early it's difficult to make predictions around multiple timelines and/or realities... they just widen the possibilities infinitely. Now... there are hints that there may be multiple realities... multiple "lifetimes" at play. I don't think I'd be spoiling much opening that discussion up, because said hints are declared pretty openly... (Going to spoiler because images)

It could be that we have a situation where multiple "runs" are being done, and this is yet another one. If there are multiple runs, are the parameters the same each time? Is the MC the same or one of many before them? Are the "pieces" shuffled each playthrough? Was OiaL a previous run in of itself, and it was a "once in a lifetime" run? Afterall, there was a hidden ending last game...

Now, I'll also say that you can try and "cheat" in this regard. When a film has a fixed length, and you know the length because of that bar on the bottom when you're watching Netflix or whatever, and you accidentally see it's like 30 minutes from being over, you can look at the current scene and go "well it's probably going to resolve that way because there's only 30 minutes left". Similarly, it's assumed that Eternum will resolve at 1.0. Some people have brought up that the MC is getting way too powerful way early... what if it's because the MC is finishing their first run that we observe, and we're getting close to a reset?

There's some theories to chew on, but there's a lot more breadcrumbs in this game. Caribdis knows what they're doing; a good breadcrumb is one that is not required to enjoy the story but adds extra enjoyment for those that find them nonetheless. It's also placed in such a way that when we get to, say, 0.5 or 0.7, most people will go "Ohhh yeah, that was being referenced the whole time".

Anyhow, what I'm trying to get at, is y'all need to get on my level...

... because otherwise you're missing out on the breadcrumbs that Caribdis has been deliberately sprinkling, since they were obviously raised on a steady diet of shlocky horror and sci-fi mystery films (and maybe a helping of Hair Guy from History Channel). :p

In regards to Idriel's statement, it might not specifically refer to multiple runs. It's a bit too cryptic to tell what it actually refers to at this point of the game. It can even refer to the MC reaching 100% compatibility, specially noting that Idriel said "I haven't seen that in a very long time". This also might also have an impact on the dreams he's been having.

My theory for that is people who have those dreams have a high compatibility and that someone else in the past tried to set "them" free (maybe the former holder of Hyas).

About the screenshots there, philosophically, it can just refer to life itself. The main hint given by the lady is not about multiple runs, but the potential that you can stop someone from dying. In a world with this level of tech, she is basically hinting that the consciousness can be kept "alive" inside the virtual world of Eternum even when the physical body dies.

Going into the multiple timelines route would be messy, and based on what I have seen, Caribdis already has a clear timeline in mind. Plus, another game, Ripples is already doing the multiple timeline thing so I don't think Caribdis would risk that.

Also, who is saying the MC is getting too powerful too early? I don't believe he even has any sort of ability yet, and Calypso is a separate individual, not the MC he basically just survived through sheer luck. He was even dejected on how useless he was in a fight.

A reset is not really a good plot point with this build up. It relies on the idea that it's a game within a game. That the MC's real life is also just pre-programmed. There's way too much build up on Eternum and Kredon for that to happen. Also, it dangerously tackles the premise in Love Lessons.

I remember developer answered to one of my questions back in Once in a life time. Saying that new game will be much much longer. So there's that.
