It's basically a harem game, trying to play a solo romance route will leave most of the content out for you.

Yeah, you technically can do solo routes, but it really isn't build for it and apparently can also lead to some weird bugs and inconsistencies.
Forgive me for being pedantic here, but it's literally just an excuse to make a joke.
Cannon is a large gun, used to fire high caliber projectiles a long distance.
Canon is an officially accepted version of a story.
But both of them sink ships.

Honestly, it's a harem game. Solo LI path just means you failed all but one of the LI options. You can do that if you want but there's no extra content for it. It's purely a negative from a content perspective. I would imagine he'd get a lot of push back if he starts adding branches that close off the harem options. I know I'd be looking to mod that out if he did.
The closest I've seen to a choice like that is the Penny vs Luna Vampire vs Werewolf choice where you do actually get 1 minor exclusive scene on each path but neither of them involve sex and neither of them make any difference towards succeeding or failing with either of the girls. Minor relationship bump with 1 or the other and you get the sex scene with Luna regardless which one you pick. Personally I found the vamp scene more interesting.
Like others said built around harem. You can do solo romance routes but the game is not built around that.
The structure is basically common scenes + girl1 scene + girl2 scene ...
So when you go for a solo route you just get common scenes + girl1 scene.
The other girl scenes are straight up skipped and there is no route exclusive content. You are will only be experiencing less of the game with no upside in terms of playable content.
Additionally the game even goes so far as to 'punish' players in a more subtle way for losing a path. Stuff like offhand comments about how girl x that you had not chosen is miserable etc. For example theres this one scene with this guy who can see the future and he tells the childhood friend character she will be alone her entire life and end up with a bunch of cats in her old age to compensate for loneliness. Ive not seen this myself but people were talking about it in discord. Its so over the top it circles back to being funny.
There was a poll asking if patrons would be ok with choice based sex scenes but people voted against it.

I suspect that if he adds any type of solo route stuff, it'll exclusively be in epilogues. You get the harem ending, or you get the girl you're furthest along with, or you get nobody if you really fucked up/just felt like being a monk for whatever reason. Writing additional content into the narrative that rewards being exclusive to a single love interest is antithetical to a harem game.

In pretty much every AVN I dislike the MILF characters, I'm more a fan of petite ones like Annie or Luna
but characters is one thing that Eternum is doing perfect for me, not a single one I don't like
Penny and Nancy, the "big tit duo" would usually not be on my radar but I adore both of them
I once actually wanted to see if Nancy would end up with Kai if you choose the
"don't get involved in her private life" option
the mod doesn't say it closes her path (but it's obvious from the wording tho)
you don't even get the scene where she scams Gerty for the implant.. I don't even know if she later still joins Eternum since I did reload shortly after
but from what you guys write it's probably more along the lines of she is just there for the heist and stuff but you get less story scenes with her
maybe I'll do a run full of depression when the game is finished where I pick all the worst choices just to see how bad it can get... only if I can stomach it though, might drop that idea halfway through
also the whole biblical cliffhanger
remember the one dream: Press the button to save your loved one but there is a 1 in 7 chance that you die or smth like that
and we have 7 Main LI, Calypso still counts as a Side Girl but I wouldn't be surprised if that changes at some point
also - we get asked again and again to choose head or tails (could also reference to the 8-Snake Syndicate Symbol)
maybe we are choosing the outcome already along the way with "Yes" when we get asked "Will you help us?" and every time Head or Tails come up. Food for thought?
and another bible reference at the college party: some people claim that the magic mushrooms let you talk to the gods
we eat one and who do we talk to? Idriel
and Idriel "created" the weapons of Atlas but I have a theory about that
what if she more or less just choose them? Her Chosen ones so to speak
Hyas and Dinoe where once humanoids, a Master Swordsman and a Master Archer
and Calypso was "not ready" and we found her before she could be made into the intended magical weapon by the Immortals
I'm probably not the first one who had these thoughts
just wanted to throw in my 2 cents
no idea what the Genocide could be a reference to.. seems to happen after Hyril'ar
the loss of the ones you love could also be less impactful than it sounds
maybe they will all die and we are left alone - but that "just" means they lose their inventory and levels and can't log in for 24h - and we could grab the inventory after we finish whatever killed them
would still be a heart wrenching scene to see them getting killed one after another and we are for whatever reason uable to help them

I could totally see the next update killing some characters for a cliffhanger, just like your nemesis died in the real world the gals could be alive in the game still yet dead in the real world. Just a classic bait and switch but would have very interesting implications going forward. I don't think the deaths will stick until the end but it will get anyone who hasn't been paying attention.
Alternatively I could see a time split where Orion sees everyone die and has to return to an earlier point using some weird ability to keep that future from happening. I just hope it doesn't go a multiverse/parallel timeline route because those are always messy and almost always end poorly.
