My fav moment in the update so far. The whole scene was so well doneI'm not ashamed to admit that I soyfaced upon hearing the heart SFX appear for Calypso after completing the Hyril'ar arc

It was a bit unclear cause IIRC MC mentioned himself that he can't bring back anything from Eternum ...Isn't that his elf shirt? So he CAN remove things from Eternum?
This gives credence to the theory that Eternum sits in between Earth and Hyril'ar and that both Earth and Hyril'ar are "real world" but you can't travel from one to the other on your own. Calypso can reach Eternum from her end and Orion can reach it from his end. They would both need help from the other to reach the other side.It was a bit unclear cause IIRC MC mentioned himself that he can't bring back anything from Eternum ...
or maybe he can but he didn't know at that point. this could be referred later on to bring Calypso in the real world.
Edit: or perhaps Thenatos.
We've "seen" Idriel in Kredon - of course we were bleeding to death from a gunshot wound at the time...It was a bit unclear cause IIRC MC mentioned himself that he can't bring back anything from Eternum ...

How would that explain either of them not being able to jump to the other side? This gives credence to the theory that Eternum sits in between Earth and Hyril'ar and that both Earth and Hyril'ar are "real world" but you can't travel from one to the other on your own. You're kinda forgetting the music disaster and the itch-incident... They certainly had their impact and certainly not a positive one...am i the only one who is maybe a touch disappointed by the length of the episode? Not to be whiny but a year for 4 scenes is a bit much. top notch as always from him though. It's crazy to think this level of animation is coming from an indie dev
Caly says at one point she can't bampf anywhere she hasn't already been. Which explains why SHE can't reach Kredon, but not how we could reach Hyril'ar or how Idriel could reach Kredon - if that wasn't a near death hallucination of MC's...That they both can't means (imo) that there is something else entirely that prevents this jump.
Like MagnusTempestus6 mentioned the slow dev time was due to external factors, plus the animator isn't someone who can just churn out stuff real quick...Not to be whiny but a year for 4 scenes is a bit much.
He can bring some things from Eternum such as clothes, but he can't bring the gems or the Weaps of Atlas coz those manifest only while he's in Eternum. He can't also bring NPCs either as mentioned during a convo with Caly, so bringing someone like Thanny to the real world is out of the question.Isn't that his elf shirt? So he CAN remove things from Eternum?
The Syndicate was on the other side of the phone but we don't know still if they're behind this or if it was Thanatos, William, Founder...Finally ended the update. As usual, Caribdis never disapoints, please support him if you can. What a fucking game. Clair Obscur the game of the year my ass, Eternum is.
About the cliffhanger, I'm pretty much certain it was William Bardot who called him. It is implied that he is evil and due Axel's call, the way it was done made it seem the players being trapped was on purpose. I just wonder what Axel actually wanted to say. So yeah, most probably it was William, unless it was Idriel, but I really doubt it. The Founder I don't buy it as well.
Finally, the way plot is going it seems Bardot's side is trying to get Calypso's genes, hence why their dimension is out of the grid. Eternum is a pathway between Earth and Hyril'ar. The founder and Idriel are the original ancestors or both Calypso and the Orion. The founder trapped Calypso as a way to avoid she wouldn't go to them.
I know Dorf will probably say I'm wrong, but it's what I believe, and the last cliffhanger is pushing into that side too.

It's probably because the clothes are from Hyril'ar and not Eternum. Further explains how Hyril'ar is like in the different dimension like earth... A parallel world maybe... We know humans live at some of the edges of the Elven world and the ancestors who built the temple were also human because they had the same symbolHe can bring some things from Eternum such as clothes, but he can't bring the gems or the Weaps of Atlas coz those manifest only while he's in Eternum. Or is it?so bringing someone like Thanny to the real world is out of the question.
Dalia brought her desert outfit back from Valley of Kings tho, did she not? It's probably because the clothes are from Hyril'ar and not Eternum. Nah Dalia was able to bring her clothes from Eternum when they ported back to Kredon after the Valley of Kings event. Plus Orion was wearing his VotK outfit when he went to Ekabar and then Hyril'ar. So materials such as that could prolly manifest but not other items like the Gems of Doom and the Weapons of Atlas. It's probably because the clothes are from Hyril'ar and not Eternum. Calypso isn't Thanatos tho. She still has her body while Wyatt's has his rotting 6 feet on the ground. I'm guessing the same thing is what's preventing NPCs from passing to the Real World coz - as Willy B had said - they're spirits of the dead so EVEN IF they can be brought back to the Real World it would be as ghosts and not corporeal beings.Or is it?

Ah that's true. So the servers in Eternum are also just like Hyril'ar but like Nova mentioned maybe Hyril'ar is another server but Idriel probably restricted and hid it away from everyone else including the players, Ulysses and FounderNah Dalia was able to bring her clothes from Eternum when they ported back to Kredon after the Valley of Kings event. yeah same, to me it felt that the update was short because the hyrilar arc was so much longer than the othersam i the only one who is maybe a touch disappointed by the length of the episode?
