On the contrary: I think it is bold of you to assume the Universe isn't out to annoy me!

Seriously though: We probably get it inside of a week, getting it right away CAN obviously happen (because...well...it already did), but I'm trying not to expect that and take it for granted.

Less taking for granted and more about people having a history of not being patient enough that they just bite the bullet and purchase the sub to leak. Always happens with the popular stuff, despite every dev's best effort to put a stop to it. /shrugs

I think you are about right. I remember 0.6 dropping a few hours after Demon Lord-Release, but 0.7 was even quicker.

This is me. If none of you leak the update I'm buying DL tier IDGAF anymore. I'm playing this game at launch no matter what.

I think everyone should wait for at least 15 days before leaking it here because, in my opinion, 15 days doesn't seem much compared to how much we've already waited but for developer it might mean a lot, especially for those who pay 100$ every month. At the end of the day, this is a pirate site and we all enjoy these awesome games for free. So, I think the least we can do is to respect the dev's wishes.

While the sentiment is nice, it's like I said: not everyone is going to share the same sentiment (or patience), especially in a site like this where those with a sentiment such as yours are going to be drowned by the voices screaming "UPDATE WHEN?!" and "HERO WHERE?!" come DL release day.

I agree with this. I don't live in US so the dollar conversion gets very expensive so sadly I can't buy the game, but I definitely don't mind waiting an extra 15 days if it means it will help the dev.

I sincerely think it makes no difference if it's leaked on DL or a few days later. Giving 100$ is a sign you're willing to do anything to play it early. So that also means you're not going to RISK it not being leaked, obviously. Also you won't even notice if it's leaked or not.

I think the difference is whether it's leaked later the same day or as early as it's out - in which case you may want to use the convenience of here (where you can refresh for updates in general). I.e. if there's at least some hours of difference between the official DL release and a leak, I think it's the same in terms of incentive to buy.

Let me make it clear that I supported this dev in the past with 5 dollars tier, and sincerely wish him the best with his patreon subscription page, and if anything, Caribdis is probably the No.1 dev out there that does not deserved a day one leak.

But oh my god. Why do people always need to have this discussion whenever we are close to a new release. It has been brought up times after times whenever we get news on an official date.

I get cringe out every single time when I see some white knights trying to preach about not leaking a game on a god damn PIRATE WEBSITE.

The whole existence of this forum, and the reason you are here at the first place, is 99% because you wanted some game pirated.

The leak will come when it comes. If someone leak it, we thank them, play it, discuss it in this forum, pay our homage to the great work done by the dev; everything kept it within this forum.

No one ever discuss the leak on their official page ("Hey 100 dollar patreons, see what I got here on this pirate forum!"). It was also not meant to be "targetting" the dev or trying to damage their business; its the nature of this pirate forum to have game leaked, at day 1 or day 100.

Its especially laughable seeing someone setting some arbitrary "minimum days" before you think it should be leaked. Like who gives you the right to set that? What makes leaking it day 15 any better than day 1 if you are against the leak so much anyway?

So stop trying to find a moral high ground and trying to put everyone here in guilt about using this site for its purpose. If you dont want to play the pirated version, its fine. Huge respect to you, but dont try to use morality to guilt everyone into doing the same thing too.

as for me, i'll download it from here once it leaks, and ,depending on my financial situation, either re-download it on supporter tier or download the public release from official source.

I mean the redownload is still worth it considering the DL release is likely gonna have typos and bugs and all the unpolished stuff that's not present in the public release.
