I agree, but why would I want to think too much on a game/story with a sci-fi/fantasy setting? This is a common mistake people that try to enjoy those genres faces, those genres are best enjoyed with "suspension of disbelief" or else we will always overthink about the motivations and events. What those genres usually bring to the table are unprobable and impossible scenarios that the only thinking we should do is about the repercussions if those scenarios really existed.
We just have to enjoy the ride, people take sci-fi and fantasy and almost any fiction genre too seriously imho :LOL:. With that said I really love sci-fi and fantasy stories (if mixed with good humor like Eternum even better) as you probably can guess from my favorite AVNs list, and this is one of the best for sure.

He usually interacts with most Patrons in a dedicated spoiler channel on his Discord whenever there's a new update (it unlocks for a specific sub tier once the update is unlocked for them). Highly doubt he takes feedback from this site tho, given his personal opinions about it. /shrugs

I agree Caribdis writes near perfectly when it comes to technical elements like grammar, and word choice (astonishing for a non-native speaker), but overall, his writing is great because it is week-day sitcom level-of-professionalism in a sea of dog shit that would struggle to outgrade my middle school creative writing assignments.

That sounds like I'm knocking him, but I am not. Eternum is better than at least 7/10 of each new season of anime, it's better written than at least half of the American TV industry's output in the last five years.

However, there is no denying that he skips over important events (

), and has trouble with what events he chooses to dramatise. Constantly on the lookout for a laugh, he often misses the low hanging fruit to have the reader feel more strongly about his characters.

I am making a few assumptions there. He might just disagree with me on what the most important element there is to focus on, and that's fine. I'd rather have the funny, and the drama, but it is what it is.

However, the point of the post you're quoting was to point out that Caribdis introduces easily a dozen plot holes in each update. He's obviously made the decision that "this is too cool to worry about it making this other thing incorrect," but internal consistency (or lack thereof) is a metric you can judge a writer on. I just pointed out how I turn off my critical brain reading Eternum because it makes the experience of reading it much-much more fun.

EDIT: And honestly, sometimes its sheer stupidity is what makes it so fucking hilarious; so I don't think I'd want it any different.

Hehehe I agree with all that, but just the humor specially in Nova exaggerated dramatic reactions is so good that I end up really not care about the rest of the "team" reactions.

Anyway I really prefer Caribdis (aware or not aware) decision of keeping the tone very light and funny. Don't think drama suits much Caribdis writing personality and Eternum story and for my taste I have to be honest that I prefer it like this, not much fond of overly dramatic scenes in sci-fi/fantasy, can have some more serious scenes but comedy is still better imo.

About the plot holes and inconsistencies, well they always appear in sci-fi, it is inevitable in most stories of that genre and probably focus on them would detract what the author wants to tell to the viewers (maybe they want to tell, always look forward, don't look too far back :p :LOL: just kidding).

Imagine if I looked at The matrix trilogy focusing on the consistency of the whole story, still I love what the Wachowski sisters done with it, mostly shutting my brain in some parts but still enjoyed it a lot.

I think as a character Dalia is S tier but as the character storyline i feel its very weird and poorly executed.

Also don't forget the fact that you have to let her hit you in the bathtub to get a heart point while you're forced to perv. Yes, you can avoid it by walking out but it still left a sour taste in my mouth early on. Felt good to reject her in this update.

I think you're right in your original answer: don't think too much.
You start digging, looking for flaws, plot holes, thinking that this is the writer's gap or he will answer this question later? And why is that? And what happened to that storyline? Or maybe not everything is so good? Relax and enjoy it, this is the best option, you're right.
Fortunately, Caribdis is good at immersing the player, creating an atmosphere, choosing the right soundtrack - I would say perfect, I only know two AVNs developers besides him who can choose music well. Wow! moments that conquer with their epicness or appeal to the player's emotions/empathy. The player's passion for this, as well as tons of references to pop culture - top marks. He knows how to captivate the player, and the writing doesn't have to be at the level of Conan Doyle.

are there any save files specifically from the 7.0 version, my PC got hard reset yesterday

please I'm begging anybody here and I would thank you and love you forever

I don't want to start over I've memorised the plot from those versions because I restart too many time
