wish other devs that use Honey Select 2 were as good as Caribdis in making models and backgrounds
most make it look like Honey Select 1
(and Caribdis already pushed HS1 to its limits compared to other at the time)

No, he did not.

Like sure, OIAL ended up being an enjoyable AVN overall, but peak HS1 graphics it is not when you compare it to the likes of Ripples and Pale Carnations (both of which use HS1 and both of which are heavily modded compared to OIAL*).

*Cari himself admitted as much in one of his posts on his Discord channel

If there's one thing that he pushed to the limit though, it would be his potato laptop, which is what he used when he worked on OIAL

I just skimmed those images before, but putting the original as comparison to ai upscaled one was a BAD move if you wanted the AI ones to look good... because the more I look at them the more horrifically bad do they look

The absence of life in the eyes is the worst thing that shows in these AI generated images, and honestly Nancy's hands in the group pics were creepy as hell.... imho of course.
I f anything this comparison definitely shows how much work and love was put in the game and that what's make it so good. Sorry don't take it personal, this post of mine is not meant as a personal attack to you, so I apologise if I sound rude it wasn't my intention, just my honest opinion. :)

there might be a restoration mod, but that doesn't change that the next update will get no songs because they can't take risks
so more AI soulless music i guess
