id say 6-7 months , only the latest patch took a bit longer , cuz Desert Stalker an Eternum used to drop around the same time for a while

It's not 3d no, i don't think anything on this site is. It's essentially a slideshow with occasional choices and animations

To add to mike12013 reply, Ren'Py is a VN engine.
Dev can tweak it. And they can put some animations, some time with more than one POV. But it's not free move camera.
So when you see Ren'Py, you can assume it's a VN.

The writing is still A-tier and better than anything else in the genre, but I do feel like this is happening a little bit. The plot just feels a little directionless as of late. We discovered that Thanatos was alive in Eternum in Episode 3, and nothing has been done with it.
On the other hand, I am more than happy for fan service lol.

It all depends on what you're into. There's not much depravity, but the sex scenes are nonetheless very well written and animated. The graphics are some of the best you can squeeze out of Honey Select. The writing... are there AVNs with better writing and deeper characters? Yes, there are, but only a handful. Is it worthy of being on the first page? Absolutely.

5th episode (0.5). We discovered Thanny was a dead man (still) walking in the 5th episode.
Also, a little directionless how? Going through with the gem hunt is pretty much the only thing they could do that would give some sort of progress to one of their goals which is to stop the Founder from doing whatever he's doing in Eternum.
As for other issues, well...they can't do jack shit with the Syndicate since they only pop whenever they feel like it, same with Wyatt who seems to only pop whenever there's a gem close by and he seems to always be a step too late when it comes to Orion unless the latter is not on the move. Caly is way too focused in getting back to her home and there's likely very little the team could do to help her on that other than just letting her do her thing (plus prior to the end of 0.8 Orion was under the impression that she was similar to the other NPCs that were under Ulysses' control and had false memories, hence why he's prolly just humoring her and letting her do her thing).
So yeah, other than gathering the gems, investigating incidents when they pop up like the rogue NPCs in Ekabar, training, and spending downtime with the girls there's little much Orion could do to move forward really.

I think he meant the plot was not moving forward, not that Chang's Team was directionless. But I don't agree with that statement either. As can be seen from your summary, the plot keeps moving forward.
