There are downsides to this very simple voting system. Someone like Calypso could be the second favorite of a lot of people and yet end up in the bottom of first favorites. The ideal system would be everyone putting a 1-5 rating to every girl, and then arranging them after average rating, but that would be manipulated as some people give 1's on the girls they feel are too highly rated (as we see with the game reviews on this site, IMDB ratings etc.). The best system in practice is probably to select your top 3 (or top 5) and give these 3, 2, 1 points respectively and then look at the sums.

With that said, generally I dislike these votes as they just lead to animosity and they overshadow the fact that Caribdis has managed to create a cast of LI's that are all universally beloved. I'm confident that every girl has at least an 80% approval rating among the fans, yet the votes make it seem like people don't care for Calypso, Nancy etc.

Exactly. Voting never made sense for me since all of the LI's have their strengths and weaknesses that make each worthwhile in their own niche. Such voting merely shows the social politics of a few select individuals based on a very narrow idea of what is considered attractive or worthwhile.

I call shananigans on that poll. The voting patterns and swings don’t make sense, there are people out there voting multiple times to swing the results.

Here you go, from Reddit - everyone got to rank the girls in order from first to eighth, then points were assigned based on that ranking - 7 for first place, all the way to 0 for eight place.

If I recall correctly, Dalia is a good example, she’s not a lot of people’s first choice, but she is a lot of people’s second or third choice.

Honestly I voted for Alex over Dalia only because of the new pregnancy angle that gets me going for some reason.

Funny how each of us have our different tastes and opinions. For me, the new pregnancy angle reduces her appeal as favourite character. Strictly talking about me, not meaning to say it or reduces her actual appeal. Just that it might make me change favourites.

I mean it was shocking (in a good way) to see them go into that direction with Alex of all the girls and not Annie or Luna.
Alex seemed to me as someone that would not even joke about having kids because of her athletic career and muh Bardot family.

I hope it doesn´t stop just at teasing in the future though.
