Interested in this game, but afraid it could be more than I can chew. Can somebody give a rough estimate of the length of a playthrough? A couple of hours? 10 to 20? 50 to 100? Is the game complete (story-wise), or does it halt before the end?

10 to 20 hours could be a good estimate. The last update took me 6 hours (but I was trying to absorb everything on the screen).
No, the game is not complete. Its story has passed the 65% threshold. It'll be complete by 2028-9.

Because the majority thinks that the experience of playing the game is worth any sort of hassle?
Also, minor spoilers: Not every server is a combat zone, so players who don't want to deal with that shit could just go to those places

Production on the game is going and we know the progress.
Every game is different, some take longer, some take shorter time, the progress in the beginning is harder than in the middle with built in plots and points.
So enjoy what's there and when you're done, enjoy other games that fit your interest.

Any predictions for the Elven Kingdom, Hyril'ar plotline? Looks like Orion will be trained, it will help him against Thanatos, some of the different dimensions mysteries might be revealed.
For the scenes, I am still torn, either the threesome between Dahlia + Alex or Calypso + Lorelei. And I guess Penny and Nova will have their scenes.

Orion's power at this point is just super speed right? Besides being able to get into Eternum without the gadgets.
Wonder what lessons he will have in Hyril'ar.
