While there were initially 9 LIs planned for the game, I seem to recall the slots in the LI page in 0.1 to only have 7 (with 1 reserved for the Side Girls). Could be wrong tho since it's been a while since I've played 0.1.
Are those early versions of the game still hosted anywhere? There is another early(ish) scene I want to see if it changed slightly or if my early memory of it is just fuzzy. I vividly remember 8 slots, with 1 reserved for others, but this was before the doing homework at Alex's house update, though(0.3 I think). You can always check torrent or see if the links for 0.4 (which is the update where the Dalia beach scene takes place) are still alive here or in Cari's Patreon Page (check Public DL links for 0.4). Other than that.../shrugs
I'm pretty sure the main vs side girl concept isn't used in Eternum. The 7 are all equally "main girls". I don't think Calypso can really be counted as a side girl in that sense. I also think that at this point it is very clear, that there won't be any other girls introduced anymore, that will get more than maybe one scene (and even that is questionable), since Cari has problems enough to involve all the available girls in enough scenes.
I don't think the main girls harem would approve of outside girls. We even saw how Alex and Dalia was jealous when Eva started talking to Orion and being casually flirty. And I doubt Nova would be pleased to see Maat again even though she was the spark plug

Nova was introduced in 0.2, so she is one of the question mark, and Calypso was likely the other one.
PS. and which line? I thought I could find it but I couldn't.
Prob script1.py, or if its globally you might need to change a setting within renpy itself.
I actually thought this scene was rather stupid tbh, alex wasnt even really at a point where she would play along with his goofyness and it made her look a bit silly imo but whatever
I don't remember if it is or not off the top of my head but I've always felt it should've been tied to the question about the pen. If he compliments it she sees him as more interesting and not as easy to impress as all the other idiots at the school, and feels a more subconscious challenge from him to prove herself because he's not another simpering dork. But if he doesn't, she wouldn't care what he thinks of her because he's just like everybody else. That seems like it would be a good tie to me.
