There's also the fact that the update was essentially feature complete around the end of November but they pushed it back a few more weeks coz Dread (Cari's animator) needed more time to cook the last lewd scene (likely Luna's).
well honestly, i do buy the games when they are completed, or a full season/episode is realeased on either steam or gog, but to have a montly sub for a year? not so worth it, especialy whem the times between each update is longer, and not in this economyI think all of us could chip in for one subscription. Cari's games won't come to steam or gog because of some of policies that both the sites share or he would have released Oialt there by now

Why do you think it's necessary to have a sub for a year? You can just subscribe once when the update is released and then cancel the subscription. Or buy it from itch with a one time payment.

It's not store policies; it's that he is using Honey Select, which is a game itself. Therefore, he and other developers who use HS to create AVNs cannot sell them, as it would be copyright infringement.
It's not about site policies. Honey Select is an existing game and considered copyright. You can't use the game's assets, modded or otherwise, to release and openly sell your own games. This is why HS games use subscription sites like Patreon; technically you're not buying the game, you're supporting the dev who makes it. It's legalese, but it makes a difference.
