Meh. I still believe he has something to do with it, everything points into that direction. Otherwise he is just a random villain just because. Actually, he can even be associated with them.

I just finished my playthrough the other night. I got a good ~9 hours out of it, which was perfect.
Great work by Cari, as usual. I can't wait for the next update! Apparently, it's going to be smaller than this one, so hopefully like a 9 month wait?

Bruh, William's entire character is all about control. Everything he has done so far is all in the name of control, from trying to dictate his kids' lives (until he could no longer with Alex so he disowns her instead) to trying to wrest control of Ulysses from the Founder. So why, pray tell, would a man with such a character suddenly decide to murder 600,000 players in a non-discrete fashion and thus send the company he has tried so hard to control in complete freefall?
And William with the Syndicate? Really? A person who's a control freak associating himself with a group that seeks to break the chains of Eternum and therefore deny people like him any sort of control over it? Are you serious?

Yes I am. Or he's just doing everything alone just because with no goal in mind? And you're going to ignore what Axel said? It doesn't make sense at this point of the plot for someone to be acting alone just because he's a control freak. Specially for someone without "powers" like the Founder.
You're just focusing that he wants to control the company, while not focusing on the reasons as to WHY he wants to control it.

It does if he's destined to fall before the story ends. William is an Azazel/Moloch-tier antagonist at best (but slightly better written and is a lot more dangerous), not an endgame one, and IMO losing control of everything (prediction is either he'll die at the hands of Axel or he goes to jail, both symbolizing him finally losing control of everything) sounds like a fitting fate for him.
No, I'm focusing on what the story has presented about him, and so far nothing in the story has given any hint that he's willing to bend his principles to work with the Syndicate. Thanatos is a different matter because their characterization makes them compatible with one another, whereas what we know of the Syndicate so far makes them incompatible. Unless you give me a compelling reason as to why a man who went so far as to give his daughter disownment papers in the middle of the night because he couldn't control her is somehow working with the same faction who wants Orion to succeed in the Gem Hunt (which again is contradictory to his character given that he'd rather Orion hand over his gems to Wyatt), then my belief that the two of them working together is an impossibility stays.

Finally finished it, then i look back and realized there's actually not too many s scene in 0.9, but i'm somehow very satisfied with it.
Like the humor a lot, funny in a way that's not cringed.

It takes a year to have an amazing update, that means we are 5 more years with this game. We have time before the end and the new game.
As reapeat, I'm fine with the yearly update as long as they are long and fantastic as the last two.

First off I am glad I can now return to the forums (since I played the update now). I know there are and will be people that just look for things to complain about, a spelling mistake here, a bug there (not that I noticed), we waited a year for this? We have to wait another year?... but I play for the story now more than anything (even though I loved the sex scene's too) but as I finished this update 2 things kind of struck me. One was the update what beautifully done and 2 in the end it didn't feel like a year went by (granted I have played, and replayed the game 8 times now) but it was worth the wait. (for me personally).
Second... EPICALLY EPIC update. I would have loved to expand on the Hyril'ar portion of the game a little longer even though I also wanted to get back to the girls and spend time with them as well, but over all, enjoyed how it all played out in the end.
I think they way the Harem played out worked well, with what we have seen so far with more or less just Annie and Luna that need explaining, though I believe Annie suspects and Luna possibly saw (to some extent) through her vision at the café.
Loved Penny's hair style this update too.
All is all it gets a 9/10 from me (one point deduction because there was not enough Nova and Annie but there was enough Luna to not take another point off for it. ) what can I say, while I love all the girls almost equally, I still have my favorites.
Overall, if the content stays at it's current quality, I could wait another year for 0.10. The content was long enough, the story complete enough (for the update, especially compared to most other AVN's) that it was well worth the wait (again, to me).
That end though... I WTF'ed several times knowing all the girls were currently inside the game and remembering Cari's post recently. Don't do it man.... just don't do it.
