Are you so sure about that?but we aren't dealing with Illusion anymore.

Care to explain what was wrong with ai art? where it was used? character designs, backgrounds or what? I am busy in life. Haven't got the time to play latest update yet but I have it downloaded. And in my opinion if human and ai art combined or edited can be good if produced well. I also hate ai art if its badly created. Judging from Caribdis previous exceptional work, Even if he used ai, he may have used it very well.the use of generative AI art and images in this latest chapter was a huge let down. I hate everything AI Art
They're not technically gone, they rebranded themselves as ILLGames and even released 2 Koi clones. It's likely that they're the ones still holding the rights since the Koi clones they released are using several repurposed Koi background assets and HS2, HS1, and Koi are still being sold on Steam and I HIGHLY doubt they would just let that extra money earned from those slide to a new rights holder. And since the people buying Steam are also the ones making content from it (i.e. mods, assets, scenes, AVNs) I doubt they'd shut those down anytime soon.Illusion has historically tolerated this, likely because of some of the things you mentioned, but we aren't dealing with Illusion anymore. It might be comforting for devs to hear that this new company won't enforce, but it's not a safety net.
Patreon can clean up its act like censoring pages and being more restrictive with what content devs could make and whatnot but I doubt they'd go for a full ban. They have every opportunity to do so last year but given the backlash even on Itch.io I'm sure the message was loud and clear that adult content creators and their fans aren't gonna go down without a fight.Tools like Daz, Blender, and CC4 give you something Honey Select never will: legal ownership of your work. Having ownership would at least partially protect your income if Patreon ever decides to fully ban adult content creators too since you could at least try to sell the game on its own.
I think when that day comes Cari would just retire. 3rd game is likely going to take a while which means another 10+ years of development depending on how long the story is going to be. I seem to recall him saying on Discord that he has enough ideas for 2-3 more titles, but I also saw him say that if possible he wants to do those in an HS2 successor, meaning that he's really stubborn when it comes to using that stuff.I'm a big fan of Honey Select models (especially the ones in Eternum), but if I was a dev, I'd be constantly worrying that at any moment I'd have to cease development of something I spent years of my life on.
Support real artists. It has no soul. Its always an ugly ass art style. You can instantly tell AI "art" from something a real artist has made. Theres no such thing as using ai well. If you cant create the art yourself, get a real person who can. Not a plagiarization machine thats killing the planet for literally no good reason what so ever. Its lazy, and stupid. Carbdis can afford real art made from real people. Fuck AI. Fuck AI art.Care to explain what was wrong with ai art? where it was used? character designs, backgrounds or what? I am busy in life. I mean it was a bunch of volunteer members on Cari's Discord that essentially helped him replace a significant chunk of his music with AI music after the music distributor sent him a CnD early last year (and this was after they changed ToS to prevent the usage of their music for "porn" which included AVNs, music that Cari himself rightfully purchased but couldn't do anything about coz of ToS changes), so he likely felt he owed them for it and thus commissioned some of the AI tracks used in the new update from them (I say some coz I feel like there are tracks used in this update that sound like standard Royalty Free stuff, likely from the one music distributor Cari used for some bought tracks that survived the music purge).Support real artists. I used to pray for times like this, you're back! Thanks a lot for the port EonorUpdated my compressed Android port of Eternum with LightmanP's multimod to v0.8.0.
Got some basic gestures loaded in: swipe up for save menu, swipe down to hide UI, swipe left to rollback and swipe right to skip. Save files are now stored in the Documents folder. This sometimes means that you may need to close and re-open the port after installing so the save folder is properly created.
I have created 2 versions, one heavily compressed and one with less compression. The lesser compression is larger than 2Gb so there are additional steps to install it.
Compressed APK Install instructions:
Less Compressed Zip Install instructions:
- Download compressed apk file
- Install apk file
- Play the game
If you do not read the instructions and ask for help because the install doesn't work, you will be laughed at and told to read the instructions.
- Download zip file
- Use an app like RAR to unzip the file. Standard browsers have issues with large zip files
- Install the apk file from the zip file
- Run the game once to load into the menu and then close the game. This will allow the port to set up the required folder in your Documents folder
- Move the archive.rpa file from the zip file to Documents/Eonor/e.eternum/game
- Restart the game
Please let me know if you encounter any issues with the port and I'll see what I can do to get them sorted.

You know, rickrollin is a little bit harder here.
I bet money on he's an artist of no particularly great skill and AI will put him out of business. That's what 99.9% of bitching about AI boils down to. Same thing happens every time there's a large technological advancement. Miners and workers bitched during industrial revolution, scribes bitched after the invention of printing press etc etc. That's all.Care to explain what was wrong with ai art?
I mean the images are very clearly AI created. And even after listening to the music, it also comes across as very obviously machine generated.Care to explain what was wrong with ai art? where it was used? character designs, backgrounds or what? He doesn't need to, is the thing. Doc had the same issue with one of the license holders for his game and he didn't utilize an AI to create new tracks. He just got new licenses for other songs created by human hands.Wait, the only AI I've ever heard of being used in this game was for the music, which only happened because the rights holders for the royalty free songs being used in earlier versions forced Cari to remove them.
AI songs, unlike the real ones, guarantee that case with tracks won't happen again, even if they sound a bit worse, they are still not awful. He doesn't need to, is the thing. Not every artist wants to make art for a "porn" game, because they want to add something to their portfolios. And personally, I don't feel like he actually needs commissioned works just for a few renders you will forget about in a day, besides, they looked fine.I could understand this more from an AVN developer that was less known, and didn't have the patreon/subscribestar or whatever financial backing to afford the odd commission for in game art, but Carbdis is definitely not one of those developers, and could easily afford to pay for a couple of commissions for the art used in game, or even the licensing fees for certain images. I dunno, might get flack for it, but it just felt like a letdown from a Developer who usually focuses so much time and effort into making something actually quality in the space. Otherwise this update was amazing, like the rest of them. Just had to say something about the AI art, as I noticed it right away and it took a bit out of the update for me. Fuck AI "art."
