Fogive me if this is a stupid question, I don't check this thread as much so idk if this has been asked before, but Is the harem ending the only ending Caribdis has planned? or does each LI get their own ending?

There should be an ending for each LI like in his previous game. But the games is primarily designed to be harem. You can still play the route with no girls or the "lone wolf" path without any problems. But rn choosing to follow only one of the LIs will lead to bugs within the game as it would take another two years for Caribdis to optimize each individual LI path. Probably before the finale he'll polish the individual LI paths as best as he can

I would have maybe said Idriel for Psyche since she'd be more straightforwardly involved with souls via the NPCs I guess, but Calypso fits better as being our wife than Idriel would. And I do suspect that Idriel is our "mother" of sorts, which would presumably place her as Aphrodite. As for Ares, I guess it would be the Founder. I'm having trouble putting it to words, but it just makes sense to me, and I am starting to get more on board with the thought that the Founder is our "father" of sorts. And I do suspect that there is some sort of romantic relationship between the Founder and Idriel. I mean, that's what happens in Calypso's story of Anima after all, the evil king woos her and then betrays her and captures her power.

Hmm.... I wonder if it is that Idriel is Anima, then if that could really mean that Idriel is the afterlife version of Anima, whom the Founder managed to find in her own afterlife and then capture. That could possibly explain why it seems like Calypso's story of Anima is just repeating, it is just happening again because the Founder managed to find a way to try it again after death. I dunno though. I'm still not completely sold on the "Eternum is just the afterlife" thing.

Anyways, it's been really fun playing all this back and sensing when there's a line or a sequence that you can tell there's something more to but we just don't know enough yet to say what exactly it indicates.

Ok, I believe now that I may have completely misread this sequence before. The word "anima" in Latin means the same as "psyche" does in Greek, both corresponding to the soul/life. I definitely should have realized this before.

It is very quickly now that I believe the shape of Eternum is finally coming together in my head. I'm gonna hold off a bit on dumping all my thoughts on it here since I've surely done that enough by now, and my thoughts still may well change dramatically by the time I finish my replaying. But I think I may be finally getting a concrete sense of how this world works and what its past is, and possibly, possibly where it's headed.

Does anyone even play the solo paths in a harem game? I always feel like they are a waste of time for the developer. Even if I don't like a character as much I still want to see their scenes.

The bigger thing here, I think, is that the harem ending is only goi to be available if you're on every route. So if you're a weirdo and even a single girl doesn't appeal to you, for whatever reason, you lose the canon ending. In which case it would kind of suck to get a lone wolf ending even if you were on the route of 6/7(or 7/8, now) girls.

This is, of course, assuming the game won't include kick you off certain routes if you're not also on the route of a different girl - which would, again, kind of suck imo - and that you can actually complete a monogamous run of the game. It's hard to say how detailed the endings will be; OIALT's endings were generally pretty small, more a collage of moments than anything substantial, but Eternum may include a much more in-depth epilogue. So it may all depend on how big each possible ending would have to be.

nah no way, not in the BEST path.
tho tbh i can def see it since Cari isn't against putting LIs in horrible situations due to your shitty decisions (i.e Lauren being sold to slavers in OiALT if you do that)

0.10 should be shorter but I don't recall him saying that the remaining ones will be just as short. IMO 0.13 (the last update) will probably be the biggest one since that would include the various endings (from the bad ones to the harem path) as well as whatever crazy stuff that he and his animator might be cooking for the final battle/s.
