All in all, ngl I am a but disappointed that we can't have multiple paths, I was envisionning this game to be a bit like Survivor Strain (ngl Somewhere I Belong was a better title in my opinion) however if you can drive the story a bit like Superhuman does, I think I'd be ok with it Ig. I guess the advantage of that is that I was affraid that by choosing a side we would need to abandon some LIs since they wouldn't be compatible with the path we chose. Atleast with this option we prbbly won't need to, so yeah there's definitely a positive side to it.
The positive side is that we (hopefully) didn't need to wait 6 months for a little update for one path and another 6 months for the next and the game doesn't take 5+ years to finish.
I would like it, really much, but from my knowledge Pippload is a one man show (now with helping hands) but the scope of multiple paths through the whole story and "expensive" game mechanics is out of the resources he have (if you don't want to wait a long time).

NGL, I was expecting to wait a long time for this game a bit like Survivor Strain. When you have beenplaying these type of games for long enough you know that it's useless to try and get the game faster. Nowadays, I just wait for updates to come and hope that the amount of time put in them will be reflected content wise.
So what if we wait 5 years for a finished product that is worth it. I don't mind as long as he posts an update every year or so. A bit like how Eruption Eminent and many other game do.
And please don't use the "he is alone" excuse. That would be an insult to all the devs who bust their sh1ts on their projects alone.
Look, I'm not saying it's not hard. I'm just it's not impossible, plenty of people did it before him and plenty are doing it rn. Now I can respect that he knows his limits. However, don't talk as if it's an impossible thing to do.
I couldn't care less about expensive "game mechanics". Most people in here would just appreciate a good story with multiple paths and choices plus nice renders, having bling game mechanics is just a plus for me.

Atleast that's my opinion, like I previously said I respect what dev wants to do, however if he's planning on turning it into a kinetic novel, then this will be without me. I wish him all the best but yeah it's rly not my cup of tea.

It's interesting to consider different perspectives, but I believe some leeway can be given to solo developers, especially if these are their first serious projects. Busting sh1ts is cool, but as practice shows, often the more you invest, the greater the risk of quickly losing everything. Many know plenty of examples where developers started off strong but later abandoned projects because they didn't get enough paid subscribers or donations / burned out / lost interest, etc. Plus, it's important to consider that solo development can vary. Some work full-time, pouring sweat into it daily, while others dedicate a couple of free hours after their main job.

Regarding branching in the story — I'll try to ensure the game isn't just on a single track, having some branches or unique events. The idea of a corruption level has been in my head for a while, and I think it could be tied specifically to the main character. The more choices you make in favor of Nox, the higher the corruption level grows, which could allow for future checks and unlock access to characters or events. This level could also influence interactions with human women — for example, the protagonist could be rougher with them in erotic scenes or employ harsher practices.

For now, I'm putting all new mechanics on hold, focusing on what I do best — creating beautiful images and writing a decent story. Of course, I have a couple of ideas for things that could be added to diversify the gameplay, like minigames. But since my coding knowledge is around 1.5%, I'll leave the implementation to people who actually know what they're doing. I don't want a repeat of the incident with the squad equipment menu that I spent a long time on and which ultimately turned out to be completely unnecessary.

Hmm...by the way, it's a good idea if there are 2 teams, one with more adequate hybrids and the second with more aggressive and violent ones, this will give variety, especially considering that you have abandoned alternative routes, and some tend more towards the dark side)
Yes, but if a new mission gave you a choice between taking the first or the second squad, that would be almost the same as developing two separate branches simultaneously (and, by extension, working on two games at once). However, if you alternated them (assigning one mission to the first squad and the next to the second), that could actually work.

Honestly I really like your game mate. I saw its potential during the initial release however I always wait for atleast 2 updates b4 trying a game. Tbh, the whole thing with the latex nox thingy is not only super interesting but also super hot. So yeah, I was really affraid you would turn this into a completely kinetic novel. I am happy to see you will still let the player interact with your game and get some choices. I mean that's where the fun is in these games right.

I wish y'all the best

So...now i know i have a thing for latex :D

!!!PROBABLY SOME SPOILER!!!
Things i like most:
-the black ooze of nightmares is the real protagonist, and it works great. Scary and thrilling at the same level. Oh and i love the renders where it pops out doing nasty things, feel like a child watching an horror
-very captivating plot, i honestly can't make a choice between the 2 dark ladies
-interactive contents...i thought "well, there is something to click, ok..." until i saw the Call-of-Duty-like mission layout! Can't wait to play with it
-half monster girls in dramatically hot living dark suits enveloping their naked bodies? I'm in heaven.
-i sense like there is an "unlock character" stuff in here. I mean, the mutated ladies appearing with different powers. It's thrilling, it fuels the desire to play and it gives almost an anime feeling, without being too childish (at least from what i felt till now)
-nice writing skills

The only thing i dislike is the appearence of the MC: too clean to be a soldier in such an hell of a setting. I mean...some scar, short hairs...i would expect stuff like that.

...now i know i have some broken gear in my head but: pls dude give us something rude. The scene that pops out if you refuse to help the girl taken by the monster when you escape with Ivy is a kind of content that shouldn't absolutely miss. In the name of all the weirdos i praise you: PUSH IT!!! :D Being splitted in half between horror and sex is huge.

Oh and i think that you should really coock a lot the mistery about the black fluid: the moment you unveil the truths about it, you will enter "a new phase", so choose wisely. I'm actually very motivated to play this game for this curiosity...so watch out and don't reveal too early who's the killer of Laura Palmer :D

I'll definitely keep wide open eyes on this project, because it looks like meeting my tastes in a lot of aspects.
Very nice done my dude, hope to see it raise and shine. Fist Bump for your fantasy
