Bug Fixes

• Fixed several bugs that could cause the guy count and sex count to increase by one inappropriately when training slaves at the farm - Thanks to The Grifter for pointing this out!
• Fixed several bugs that allowed shadowing for robberies job for gang members without purchasing surveillance tools first
• Fixed a bug with boxing training that caused the gang member to never be able to complete the training
• Fixed a bug that caused boxing progress to not be displayed for gang members (must at least be an average boxer for the progress to display similar to other skills)

I noticed that mechanic tools aren't required to dismantle cars (would be nearly impossible without them) so this is something to think about that would be easy to add.

The body type display bug is still an issue and requires a good overhaul to fix so it isn't included with this patch. It is going to be a pain in the ass to fix.

This is a QSP only update so you have to replace the two existing files in folder '/Evil 2/Evil/' with the two new ones in the 7z archive.

Hopefully I didn't break anything but I did do a moderate amount of testing.

It seems though, that when having sex for the first time with a NPC now sets the counter for past lovers to zero...

• Fixed several bugs that allowed shadowing for robberies job for gang members without purchasing surveillance tools first
• Fixed a bug with boxing training that caused the gang member to never be able to complete the training
• Fixed a bug that caused boxing progress to not be displayed for gang members (must at least be an average boxer for the progress to display similar to other skills)
• Fixed several miscellaneous bugs with gang jobs and gang job reporting in the End of Day Earnings Report
• Fixed sex hole stats decreasing after the kidnapped girl has been trained in a sex activity at the farm - Thanks to Swalexxx for pointing this out!
• Misc small bug fixes
• Misc logic improvements

New Features / Enhancements

• Added mechanic tools to the game which are now required to assign new gang members to dismantle stolen cars. If they're already assigned this job before this update they won't be kicked out of the dismantle car gang job (FYI).
• Added a new gang job - Hired Muscle for the Camorra cartel - Gang members must be a professional level boxer or better in order to be assigned this new job. Pay rate and success are based on their boxing and soldier skill. Soldier skill is optional but helps. If your gang member kills an enemy they receive bonus caps. There is a small potential for a hospital visit/temporary injury and a rare chance of death. The better the boxer and soldier skills the less chance of a rare death occurring. If a death does occur it's highlighted in bright red like the other deaths were enhanced to display in a recent patch so they are easier to see if players just want to skim the report or save scum to avoid the death.
• Taking any of a girl's virginities now displays that you took her virginity in bold bright red text
• Added the option to just retrain Rhonda Rousey at the farm instead of having to replay the entire 'Pool Girl Story - Part 3' again. This option can be found in the 'Computer' menu under 'Start or replay the unique stories and events in Evil 2'. Keep in mind that using this option will reset Rhonda to default at the beginning of her training (slave job and other progress will be erased).

This is just a small Christmas gift for everyone (was released as a beta before Christmas). This doesn't mean that development is restarting. The game is still looking for a new developer to take over the project.

The gang portion of the game is mostly full featured now and working as intended.

Dismantle cars - requires mechanic tools (new)
Shadowing for robberies - requires surveillance tools (not new but fixed bugs with this)
Stealing cars - requires lockpicking tools (not new)

Now all jobs require the appropriate tools.

Before, there was no advantage or purpose for gang members to train in boxing. Now there is with the new 'Hired muscle for the Camorra cartel' job. Shooting training helped with the 'Gunman for robberies' and "Hitman' jobs so both training options have a purpose now.

Installation

Copy 'Evil 2 - 0_72.7z' to your 'EVIL 2' folder (not the 'Evil' folder). Right-click on the file - 7-zip - 'Extract Here' - 'Overwrite All' - Select OK to merge and overwrite the existing files. Don't create a new folder when extracting. If you aren't prompted to replace existing files then you didn't install the update correctly.


Notes

This update fully replaces '0.71- Patch 1a' and '0.72 - beta'. Those two files are no longer needed and can be deleted. Please refer to the 'Installation' instructions on the OP if you are performing a full or new installation of the game.

Question: what are the requirements/checks to get offered the bouncer job at the nightclub? I find myself unable to get the oportunity.
I tried both being high level amateur and low lewel pro boxer.
Is there an age or story requirement? Do I need to have a minimum age and be out of college?

Player jobs were causing issues with female jobs since they were using the same variables. Menial player jobs were disabled several versions ago awaiting an overhaul (which hasn't happened yet).

Another problem is that players were getting distracted by the menial jobs and not working to become a crime lord. Players were trying to earn every cap legally (be 100% good) bypassing 95% of the game (still scratching my head on this one). With menial jobs removed, they were pushed down the path of being Evil (otherwise no caps) like the game is intended to be played.

You're only the second person (in 6 to 12 months) to mention that the menial player jobs are no longer available. They should probably be overhauled and re-added at some point (low priority).

Oh, don't worry, I play definitely evil... just ask some of the dozen or so high society supermodel MILFs I first turned into junkies, later arranged a setup and then turned them into my exclusive use, not-on-birthcontrol sex pets while they try to repay their massive debt with camwhoring.

I merely wanted to try out the bouncer job to check what gameplay possibilities there are. By the way, last time I checked (game version download opening post), being a masseur was still in the game, you might want to disable that too if you ever decide to do another fix upddate.

Observation about breaking in slaves.

I noticed slaves often lose their "..has been trained in..." status immediately after clicking continue.
Editing the code in Qgen to display the said stat, showed me that while they gain 2 statpoints, they lose about 1-5 points when you click continue after.

Not sure if it is intended that way.

So, say I get the prompt at 30 points as intended, it then often shoots down to 26.
Can be frustrating, when the indicator is unreliable.
Id get stuck in that loop for a while until I suppose I got lucky to only drop 1 point to get the stat to stay at 30.

This is probably the third reason why we are reluctant to add new content to the game. The large file size turns some players away and the size is too large for a game that's essentially only 50% to 75% completed.

An overhaul of the videos in the game is needed which would reduce the file size by roughly 33%. If the worst 25% of videos were also removed that would help even more. The video length is also much longer than most other games on this site, 20 to 40 seconds in length on average. This greatly adds to their size. The videos could be shortened but this would take a huge amount of time due to the sheer volume of videos. 10 GBs of the size is just for video clip variety in the generic sex system. Most games only show you one video and we didn't want to do that.

You'll notice that there's no compressed version of this game. Lots of file compressors have looked at Evil 2 and walked away. It's due to the large volume of videos spread through dozens of different folders and file paths. It isn't like most other games where all the videos are in one folder.

The game often gets criticized for the large file size but there is one benefit to this in that it turns away players who aren't serious about playing it.

The game is far from perfect but thank you for giving the game a try. If you get stuck, there's a beginning's guide linked in the Developer Notes/FAQ section of the OP as well as other helpful resources.

Because you have low fitness stats.

fitness[you]=run[you]+boxing[you]+kungfu[you]+sambo[you]+dance[you]

if fitness[you]>2000:energyMax[you]=fitness[you]/200

Your fitness stat is 2183 (Run: 499, Boxing: 669, Kungfu: 500, Sambo: 500, Dance: 15).

2183/200 = 10.9

Your max energy is almost ready to level to 11. Max energy is 25 if you have very high fitness stats. Keep training.

It's not that I was saying it was too large, I have games that are in the 100GB range.
It just depends on which PC I am using.
My desktop C drive is nearly 2TB with a external hard drive close to 5TB, which I would like to get something bigger than 5TB.
My gaming laptop has a 1TB C drive and a 1TB internal D hard drive, which was what was almost full when I commented.
I deleted over 300GB of files I wasn't using, mainly Steam Workshop mods.
I'm not even using my laptop for anything, other than some of the games on here and it's not windows 11 compatible and stuck at 10 which is being or has been discontinued.

Start with extracting the Evil 2 - 0_55Beta Full.7z into the folder you want it.
You can then go and extract each update into its own folder, then compare the folder structure and move those files into the first one afterwards. Be sure to do this in the right sequence!

Finally got it working right. TY also i apparently deleted an important file from the folder somewhere, glad i thought to redownload the base game
