Just so you know, I am not the dev of the game. I am simply a supporting patron. I know the dev rarely comes on here, so I just like sharing the update info when I can.

Guter had already stated he was not happy with how the vacation route was going, but since he was already committed to it, he finished off the one route. Personally, I liked it, it wasn't on the same level as what previously happened. But I also don't think it's as terrible as people are making it out to be. But, that's my opinion.

That's the key issue which we can all agree on, the important thing is that we learn and move on. The fact that it has raised debate is good in itself, as it does indicate the very high regard for the avn story telling etc we all had prior to the holiday.

I think this is Guter's first game and I usually give first time developers a lot more leeway because they are frequently trying new things and learning as they go. I can't speak for Guter but I think if he could do it all over again he would have either done the vacation a lot earlier or not even introduced it until later. ONce he introduced it he was trapped in developing it and you could tell he just wanted to get back to the original story. That being said, I still think he did a great job with it. I was actually looking forward to the scene with the three guys at the campsite but I found the scenes with the young couple to be much better. The issue will now be the frequency of updates. He did say a while back that he would do shorter updates but get them out quicker. Let's hope he's able to do that. The vacation took longer because he just wanted to get it out of the way. I was hoping for more scenes but they could always do flashbacks to things they did while on vacation. It's way too early to speculate on what the pictures are showing but I think we are going to see Steve and Casey looking more into Henry and we will proabably get the long awaited scene with Nicole and Amit.

I like the game a lot, the one thing I can't stand though is the slow panning.... SO DAMN ANNOYING and you can't even skip it that I can tell.

I wouldn't mind it except we've already done it with Eric and Colin. I'm just hoping Guter finds something different we can do with it but it sounds like this is a one and done thing.
