There are multiple paths you can take in this game. You can choose a loyal path, where the MMC and the FMC remain faithful to each other; a sharing path, where the FMC has sex with others with the MMC's consent, and sometimes together with the MMC; or a cheating path, where the FMC has sex with others behind the MMC's back.

They are separate paths and the "cheating" is actual cheating, so not done under a shared/consensual premise (spoiler just in case...) There's a sharing path, which involves both cuck (MMC not involved, sometimes with options for MMC to be caged or for him to clean up creampies/do cum kisses) and sharing (MMC involved in an MMF threesome) and there's also a cheating path, where it's all 100% behind MMC's back. In the cheating path, there's a separation ending as MMC eventually catches them in the act, punches the other guy, and leaves. This was right at the end and there isn't really much shown afterwards - you see MMC alone, but I don't recall if it shows what happens with FMC (i.e., whether she is also alone or whether she shacks up with the other guy). On the cheating path there is also still sex with the MMC, although it might not happen as frequently once FMC gets deeper into her cheating relationship/s (it's been a while, so I can't remember it clearly enough!).

I discovered the game recently, and if it, or any other developer, TRIED TO PLEASE more people, then that's always a problem, and what you explained in this comment ends up happening.

HOWEVER, I still say it's a good game and COULD BE MUCH BETTER, and now I understand the reasons why it couldn't be better. When developers stop being afraid to go all the way and stand by their TAGS, and don't give in to people patrolling to remove certain Tags, when that happens they will make better games.

I appreciate courageous developers who aren't intimidated by the patrols seen in games, nonsensical people wanting to change everything to their liking; unfortunately, that's what happens most often, especially or almost exclusively, when games have certain TAGS.

The way I see it is that if a developer has a game with a specific story in mind, he or she should develop and carry it forward as he or she sees fit in that primary path. Only later, if he deems other people's suggestions valid, can he decide at his discretion whether to endorse them and include other routes.
Otherwise, you just get a lot of confusion and the results are these: a great game ruined by hasty endings.

How easy to avoid/hard to access is the cheating path in this game? Am I going to waste my time and miss it if I act protective/possessive/insecure? Do I have to deliberately be a douchebag to her pissing her off, or cheat on her, or deliberately put her in risky situations for it to happen?

Eh, it's a bit of both, I'd say. I can't remember the specifics, but there's a "what type of porn" sort of question early on that is one of the big pathing choices. The walkthrough mod does a good job of steering you in the right direction regarding that though, if I remember rightly.

I played the Steam version, it's the same crap as before, but the game came out in a nice wrapper and that's it.

This has to be the first time in any form of media that it's the woman who forgets. Poor MC seems cooked.
