I realize this is an NTR game, but I'm only talking about the Sharing path. We have other paths to choose from, Cheating, Cuckolding, Hotwifing...
By choosing the Sharing path, I'd like to not feel like my partner is a deranged nymphomaniac trying to humiliate me as much as possible.

Yup, we all know from porn that the man with the biggest dick invariably provides women with the most sexual pleasure. It's even true for AVN games like Exploring the Big Apple, Because I Love Her, The Adventurous Couple, and Paradise City, where the MC does not have a smaller than average penis; it's just that his dick is not quite as big as some other guy's, which of course makes all the difference.

It's rare among AVN games for there to be any kind of consideration among women about how the ideal penis size for them may not be on the larger end (or rather how a larger size may even be uncomfortable), or about all the other things that can increase sexual excitement and satisfaction that have nothing to do with penis size (or having a penis for that matter).

Okay, I've finished the current update in two paths: Sharing and Vanilla.
Sharing, as I wrote earlier, has too much of the Cheating/Cuckold vibe. Emma constantly hides most of the juicy parts from the MC. She's more of the dominant side who subjugates her partner. All the threesomes with Martin are focused on him and not her husband. She takes too many liberties behind her husband's back, despite his consent.
Vanilla is again too... vanilla. And even though she doesn't have any sexual action with other guys, she still keeps most of the juicy parts a secret from her husband. It seems that every path in this game is supposed to make her a cheating bitch who supposedly loves her husband but has no respect or trust for him.

As for the MC, just like in other dimajio333 games I've played, he's a complexed mama's boy who has no idea how to act with a woman. Too bad, because the possibilities of this story are really big.

The husband-and-wife scenes are made less exciting due to being briefer and not including animations. The only time that sex is animated on any route is when Martin is having sex with Emma, and even in the "threesome" scenes, the only part that's animated is when it's Emma and Martin; when it's Patrick and Emma, there is no animated component, and as you noted, Martin gets about 80% of the action (including uninvited anal). Emma and Martin are even animated while exercising together! Also, if one sticks to the "vanilla" path, there are altogether less sex scenes. Thus, the "vanilla" route is placed in a position of being less interesting due to the sex scenes being briefer, less frequent, and less animated.

The moving-in threesome creates an especially stark contrast: By the time her husband walks upstairs to find them on moving day, Emma has already given Martin a vigorous blowjob downstairs and then is in the middle of receiving vertical cunnilingus from Martin in their upstairs bedroom. I always find it funny with MMC lead NTR games specially if it's mystery NTR or Sharing/Cuckold genre, where the MMC's decision leads to his SO fall into another man. The reason, I believe, the penis size is so prevalent in these adult VNs is twofold: First it preys on male insecurity and second, it is much easier to blame dick size then personality or overall attraction. Apart from a small minority of women, penis size, unless abnormally small, does not the quality of sex make. Unlike men, women are not quite as visually oriented- a man’s personality and how he makes her feel is of more import to a woman than whether he has a 10 inch wang. In fact, many women find oversized penis- I’m talking the Mammoth sizes you see in pornos and VNs as painful and NOT enjoyable. Yet, the trope continues. Another reason it is so prevalent is that it is easier to film and/or depict visually. The average penis size is 5.5 inches. Much easier to visually show a 10 incher making a connection than an average size.

On the contrary, I'd theorize the themes captured in avn games are heavily influenced by eastern tropes, and this is the driving force behind the paradigm you're describing. The concept of strict social hierarchies is MUCH more common in eastern media, where we see absolute rules on who's in control and who wields power. (this is ofc excluding western ir-cuckoldry, where those same strict social dynamics are rigidly enforced by the authors)

IMO the reason you see less fluidity in swinger/sharing/cuckold/group sex western games is because the playerbase of these games is usually comprised of swinging fans, general corruption fans, ntr fans, and fem protag fans. Of those 4 subgroups only the first wants what you're describing, the other three are very much okay with the rigid format of "wife gets corrupted, because a whore for every preselected alpha male character."



Separately, does anyone know if the next update is planning on being the last? Or are there two more to wrap things up?

I kind of assumed the update won't be out till next month tbh despite him saying this month was the target release simply because it's the last ending makes more sense to take more time for it. even tho I think it's gonna disappoint unlike other updates I feel this one gonna take more effort and time.

I think it's going to disappoint us no matter what. There is simply no way to end a VN in just one update after the last one only started setting up a whole new path.

But, dimajio is very excited about his next project, and at least he seems to have learned his lesson on trying to appeal to "everyone" with EtBA...
