I just feel really confused and deflated after this ending. I was the same with Pineapple express. I was waiting to see how this game ended to decide if I would join his Patreon.

This dev is one of the better ones on here he is consistent with content, his stories up to a certain point are well written its just he seams to loose interest near the end and thinks ah any ending will do.
I don't think it's a case of he doesn't know how to do cheating paths because up to this update it was all really well done.

I hope he see's these comments and just might redo the cheating endings so they make a bit more sense.

Yeah, I get it. Yet, I’m going to give this Dev a pass on this one. He identified the issue he was facing (too many routes, production time sink) and addressed it with his fan/supporters. If only other Devs were as brave and realistic. I have subbed this Dev on and off for three years now. He does quality stuff within his niche. He tried expanding it and it didn’t work. Fair enough. Looks like he’s going to briefly switch gears with a different type of VN and then go back to NTR/NTS. (If you play the cuck route as well you get an idea as to what transpired at Prof house - not a fan of cuck as depicted in this particular title, but you get the idea.)

That's a bit muddled, I don't know if there's an issue with coding between what I played and what you played there, but I'll respond to some in spoilers too (some of it is the same as I got, but definitely coding issues).

The cheating paths are a staple of dimajio's games, but he really fumbled them hard in EtBA.
I know the endings were rushed, but they simply do not make sense at all.

At this point, these aren't issues resulting from the rush, these are just terrible ideas made manifest. Longer cooking time still wouldn't make them logical.

I genuinely hope the next project (or the one after this "creative break" project that's next) is a return to NTR/NTS form for dimajio, since his previous games had compelling cheating paths (though his endings were never his strong suite).

And, if you're willing to check, what happens in the epilogue if Emma is cheating on Patrick with both of them? What scene plays out?

You're correct in general.

But it's important to note that the dev here didn't get tired of EtBA because there were too many characters - but because just Emma/Patrick/Martin already had 4 paths between them, where the dev tried to appease his fans by having Vanilla/Sharing-cuckolding/MMF/Cheating paths.
Until he cancelled the game early, I'm sure some fans expected the same from the Professor character as well, which would've been impossible.

However, that's because the dev made the classic blunder of listening to all of us.

Well, regardless of what you feel about the actual content, I think we can certainly say "botched" endings, at least for the cheating path. I can't see any way that coding error wasn't picked up in testing - you skip out an entire section and head straight into the epilogue!

Remember how many people here in this very thread constantly complained about Martin? And now, surprise, we can see that the dev switched towards the prof. He shouldn't have listened.
I mean: just compare the intensity of the sex scenes between Martin and Emma with the ones between the prof and Emma. Not on the same level. This last update, too, is a case in point.

I was disappointed when on the mmf path during the final day AGAIN mc gets called into work. It felt like another unneccesary cuckold route insertion into that path. The buildup was initially great - they had this whole plan of spending the day together and teasing, then it went all out the window and fast forwarded to the final scene which had already started without him .

By again - I mean this was the second time something like that was written in, first was when they were unpacking and Emma starts blowing Martin while MC is dallying with the belongings.

Because that's obviously what the dev finds interesting - this little tension, little suspicion: is there something going on without him, without him declaring his official consent every small step of the road. The dev wants to create opportunities for doubt, for insecurity and jealousy even on the sharing path. He can't help it, I guess.

Oh really. I only started reading just after the Episode 6. Thank goodness I've had my own experience. Now I realize a few things. Why did they complain about Martin? His character was well developed in my eyes.
So a certain part of the community has defaced the game because it gave in

Found him too pushy, unlikable, too aggressive, repulsive, old too, maybe. Emma was seen as initially reserved and even fearful of Martin (which I take as being potentially intrigued). There are several discussions above, I don't want to mischaracterize the statements of others.

To be fair to dimajio, he clearly didn't have the luxury of time for testing this update. Monthly release schedule is a bitch.

Which is why (I might get flak for this) I think the dev should relax a bit, and release updates every 1.5 months.

Thing is, the professor would've been the second major "bull" for Emma if the game went further.

The excessive branching with just Martin is what burned out the dev from developing ANY path beyond what we got.
