That's not what I meant, I said the same earlier. The question is not that it feels genuine, but WHY. And what I don't see is the game stressing communication and patience (where is Emma patient??). Also trust is more implied than a topic. Take alone the last update, the photo session. He follows, she leads, he is often surprised. She acts and explains it to him, demands things, sure he could decline, but in that case she reacts rather annoyed. That's probably not what you mean by communication. Maybe it's not important but I asked because I don't think its good to read certain normative models into games which don't promote them. No offense. And behind it is an important question. I think NTS does function so well here BECAUSE it is asymmetrical between the two, because there is a power imbalance. On the other hand other games (AI phone games) don't lack "communication and trust", but have a ton of that and they don't feel natural to me, just my opinion.
