I'd also add both Chester's and Darius' routes there, once you get past Darius issues and bullshit he becomes an amazing boyfriend. Chester is naturally a grade S++ Boyfriend material, considering how loving and caring he is (plus he's not the sharing type, in his route)
yeah I agree with that, Darius, Chester, and Richard's routes are the ones that pass the Fridge Test, if that makes sense. Spencer's is really good but Spencer has some fundamental immaturity, like Darius, but it doesn't really feel like it gets resolved like Darius' does, like Darius makes a very obvious change in his behavior and is clearly able to work past his immaturity, but in Spencer's route the MC just calls him on it and he goes "ok I'm sorry I didn't mean to hurt you" and MC goes "it's, like, fine, just, that's really fucked, you know" and Spencer goes "yeah yeah I know" and they just move on.

Darius' route is my favorite because it feels personal to me given my own history but yeah.
None of the other routes feel like they're fully safe from requiring suspension of disbelief, looking back— the "best" route for Dozer is the one that gets you the most porn-scenario one, being polyamory, but it's definitely off. The MC doesn't show any sexual interest in Chester until AFTER Dozer does and even then it kinda feels like it's more of a "I like you teasing me about it" then a "I want to be in a polyamorous relationship" type of thing. idk if I agree with the thing about him and Harvey, the way it was described it just seemed like Dozer very nearly assaulted Harvey and then felt incredibly guilty that he let it get that bad, and clearly he feels bad about it but I still kinda think realistically that's something fundamental he should work on? You can't just assault people in your sleep lmao, if my partner told me they are liable to do that it wouldn't be a "well, just be careful, okay? Besides, that's kinda hot" from me, it would be "oh shit, please get help, that's really awful, you should talk to your doctor about that". (Ik it's porn but still)
Harold's route is just janky, he's hot but he really outright says in the first couple days "A: you are a rebound from my ex wife because I am actually gay and haven't had a genuinely fulfilling relationship before, so I'm going to dump 100% of that inexperience onto you, and B: I have significant mental illness that I don't show much interest in working on, and for the most part my visible mental state relies on you". I think the intent was for his "you push me to be better" type dialogue to be romantic, but if the MC was actually like, inspiring him to improve, he'd go to therapy— a relationship isn't just "the way out" of mental illness, even if it makes you feel good, it SHOULD be the catalyst for like, genuine improvement.
Dwayne's route also feels very off, the first sex scene kinda spoiled it for me even if they resolve it, the sex scenes may be hot but as like a genuine route in a dating sim it's just really uncomfortable in a way the others aren't.

I agree with most of it, however I feel I should point out that Harold DOES go to therapy, and starts working on himself, I feel it's only fair to point out that it might have started as you say that "You're a rebound from my Ex-wife" "I have severe depression and I don't show much interest in working on it and get better" Harold DOES end up seeing MC (you) for YOU and falls even harder in love with MC. And secondly he does go to therapy and gets serious and works on getting better and healing from the trauma and abuse THAT ONE wreacked on him.

Dozer has no plausible defense, as much as it hurts to say and admit.

The less said of Spencer the better, he's a colossal hypocrite, and too arrogant and self-centered for my tastes. (I only played his route once to see his hot dad, his brother isn't half-bad either)

i def agree with this but to add to harold's case. It felt like harold asking(begging tbh) MC to be his boyfriend a day after he shafted you to try and screw his harpy of an ex felt so damn off almost like manipulation in a way, ironic. Call me immature but i'd possibly recommend he attend therapy right then and there before he jumps back into the dating pool tbh.

Yea i agree, but personally i just blame Dynes writing, pretty sure he didn't think that having both the boyfriend question and the love confession be followed right after Harold crying over her, most of the audience would put into question how much he actually means it.

There was no reason for both these situation to be centered about Diane they couldve happened at any other point in the story and the impact wouldve been better in my own opinion.

You're right about him needing to truly heal before he goes back to dating.

His route goes to shit once dianna gets involved. She's nothing but a plot device to haphazardly push the story forward then fuck off once the conclusion is reached. There is no personality to her other than crazy ex stalker with a bit of divorced wine mom karen but without the kids. Glad neither procreated cause they would have been horrid co parents.

Now that you mentioned it, I just remember that there is a minor tease with Dozer in Chester's route late in the game, while working out. The MC can choose to feel Dozer while he's flexing (which I take as a small sign of attraction/flirting to Dozer), which prompts Chester to do the same. They both get a little too into it until Vernon appears, I think

Guess Dyne has always intended Chester to pair up with Dozer, eh?

Yes, subtlety isn't Dyne's forte...

Fortunately, it wasn't really that bad, just touching muscles of someone who works out, other than that I don't think there was anything more after that with Dozer
