The most controversial thing about this daughter-fucking game is that the fortysomething protagonist is considered to be on his last leg of old age even though he is only a few years away from being considered a Millennial.

why are people born before 2000 called " Millennials " the new Millennium started in 2000

I think that the cutoff is if you were in high school by 1999. If you graduated high school before 1998 you are considered Generation X because likely your parents were boomers (but then again boomers have been having kids in their 70's so that is messing everything up).

those generation descriptions are only concluding a specific time period. (from then to then) and the people getting older in this specific time periode (from kids to adults in the Millenium age) are called millenials

Generation X is from 1965 to 1980.

Just a timeframe, millennials, iirc from the begining of the 80s to the middle of the 90s.
Gen X was from the middle of the 60s to the begin of the 80s.
Boomers from 46 to to the middle of the 60s.
