It's true, seen it personally in my travels. They always blocking the road outside Quito. No weapons are ever involved as far as I've seen.

Dude, I'm not going to say it's a lie, because I don't know. But I think these developers always live where something is happening—hurricanes, floods, wars, conflicts... Coincidence or just excuses?
I live in Brazil, which borders Venezuela, and I haven't seen or read any news about problems in Ecuador (although I don't look for them).
And Ecuador is quite far from Venezuela, I don't know the connection between the two.
Assuming it's true, I hope the developer is okay and can solve the problems.

I mean, the blocking happening and him being in the middle of it can still be two things. But - not saying he's lying either.
I just hope he pulls through, whereever and whatever he's dealing with.
(.. and, on a slightly romantic sidenote: It's kinda cool to have degenerates all over the world. You hear people sing the praises of the power of music and how it connects us all the time. Well, apparently cranking it to incest-doppelgänger-porn can connect us just as well! How ... delightful, I guess.

You are aware that Obsidian, Ubisoft, Bungie and many other well known Dev Studios killed and are killing their companies with that attitude.

There are 400k Venezuelans living in ECuador due to migration from the destruction of Venezuela. And Ecuador is now worse than Brazil in Crime when it used to be one of the safest countries. There are also 3 million in Colombia, 2 million in Peru and 600k in Chile to name a few. They are increasing crime everywhere but Ecuador is also in economic collapse due to their leftists governments they are not Bolivia level because they deleted their curency and use the dollar 20 years ago. The country is near bankruptcy and they want to stop subsidies since they jus can't afford it, whenever that happens the people take over the entrances to Quito which is in the highlands to "negotiate" with the government, crime is ON TOP of that.
Such a awful thing, be the developer lying or not, think hard to belive that he cant pull 200 half baked renders on 5 months when he was doing that each month at the beginin...
usual stuf with those developers the start decents and end awful.

I wouldn't keep your hopes alive. Guy's been not producing for more than a year. Ye, he realeased some short stuff, nowhere what was promised and there are constant problems in his life. I wonder how he produced the first part then...

Everyone Merry Christmas to everyone! I love you all so much. I’m leaving you a small Christmas render. I wanted to do more, but I haven’t had the time; I’m swamped with work until the end of the year. I have to replace my boss since he’s going on vacation, and I’m basically the last link in the chain. Be very happy with your families and friends. Today isn’t a time to be sad, so that’s why I won’t talk about what has been happening in my life. But in the future, I’ll tell you in more detail how everything has been going. I love you all very much, and I’ll see you again soon. I’ll make more renders for the end of the year, and then I’ll be able to continue working on the game.
