This initial release seems like a remake of the beginning of the old version. We didn't see the trials before so I have to ask; is this a remake or just a test release for all the new stuff.
Other than that I'm not sure how I feel about the new UI. I'm thinking maybe making the text box border a slightly darker color, perhaps a light or medium grey. The other option would be make it thinner by say 50%. I think it just looks a bit too bright/imposing. The menu in the bottom left is a bit too large imo. I'm thinking maybe 75% of it's current size would look better.
Other than what I stated a above I like it so far. I was nice getting to see some of the characters still in Elysium and get a better look at the background story. The only thing that really threw me off was when I wasn't my character. That part were I was Alisa was weird and a lot immersion breaking for me until I realized it was a dream. Might want to work in that sequence a bit to make it a little more obvious for people like me.
I am looking forward to the next release. Keep up the good work.

I see your question and raise you another... change what exactly about Zenera? There will be a good bit of changes from the Old Version that I wanted to implement; mainly from the Old Prologue to about Chapter II-ish. But a lot of the original story will still remain, just maybe tweaked a bit better.
I REALLY REALLY DON'T LIKE THE NEW JADE! She lost her innocent naivety appearance and looks like someone older and more experienced in life now! It sucks as it was her charm her innocence and naivety! She now looks older and more experienced in life ruining her entire place in the story line as the innocent, naive young girl.
I played the game for the story but now the story seems all fucked up.
1. Girls are older now all look like they are College and not High School
2. Girls none of them have an naive young feel to them they all feel and look like they have experienced life
3. The story does not even feel like the same story.
4. Flow is no longer like a Visual Novel. Jumps all over the damn place. School introduction to girls before you as MC even gets there (DUMB).
5. Stupid go back to prologue and go to next .. very stupid choice for a VN I can't even call this a VN now. I don't even know WHAT to call this as it's not a VN but not a Sandbox either some very weird amalgamation.
No this is not the story I was playing this is something new that I am not enjoying. I fast forwarded it to see if it got better but it is just disjointed and all over the place. The girls are not innocent anymore so trying to write them as innocent is just BS. They have the eyes of people that are experienced in life and sexual affairs. Jade has look of a slut at times with her eyes in the prologue.
I'm very disappointed in what direction this game has gone.

3. It's a new remake that is being extended plotwise, there isn't even enough of the story out to make an accurate assumption on how different it will or will not be.
4. IT HAS LIKE 4 SCENES CALM THE FEK DOWN. Dream > MC/Ryley/Elizabeth > Aliza preview.
5. That is because other than the first prologue which is the MC's the rest of them will be optional.
HOWEVER!
You can't really judge the "story" as completely different and something you are not enjoying when it literally hasn't even started yet... we're still making the prologues.

Pacing issues, especially in terms of the development of relationships with all the various girls. That got remarked on a lot by people.

I also complained about the inconsistency a lot. Primarily the fact that the protagonist started as this otherworldly being that was almost worshiped by everyone who saw him but within an update or two, he became just a random dude. It was more emphasized in the scene where he got seriously injured when there's no way he should have been based on his backstory.
There were also complaints about a specific trio of LIs that many, including myself, found obnoxious, boring and unlikable. The dev seemed to agree with our argument and if I remember correctly, he attempted to solve this by making one of them more interesting and the ring leader apologize in the next update after people complained.
There were also some cases of characters getting completely ignored despite the fact that they were obviously LIs. Dev clearly wanted to recitify this and started to include them more later because of it.
All in all, all the issues came down to a lack of planning and inexperience of the dev. Many people, including myself, liked the original despite it's faults. I generally think most of the issues will be solved with proper planning this time.

Ring leader? Lol, did I miss something? But yes, later on in the end of Chapter III, my goal was to fix a lot of things that seemed left out. Although, as I said, it happens towards the end of the Chapter.
There's a lot I wanted to fix, which is why I wanted to go through with a Remake, so to speak. And yes... I know... not everyone is behind this idea, hell a good chunk of people either abandoned ship or are waiting for a substantial amount of the story to release... or something along those lines. It's been said many times, and I know I'll never be able to convince everyone... but I'm hoping to have done my best with 0.0.1, and what's to come in 0.0.2 and so on.
It'l likely take a long while to get back to where the story should have continued with Chapter IV, but I think this time around there will be far more story, especially with the girls and other characters.
