If you don't mind i would like some proofs. You mean steam would provide costly services, and watch peacefully the money flow escaping from them. It's a bit hard to believe. it's the most awaited game on steam. so it's not like if they weren't aware. and why would the closed beta require a key while normal games would require only a code for their betas. it's clearly two things. but again if you can prove your sayings i would admit the facts
That should be enough for you.
The game is in PlayTest, which means they legally can't take their 30%, according to the ToS, it applies only to copies sold of RELEASED game - again, ON STEAM. Just do some research on the internet:WeSmart:

frankly i don't care of being right or wrong, but there's lot of contradictory in what you say. if i follow you word by word all the keys sold at kinguin & friends are keys where steam don't take its cut. the key is created by steam, then you buy it where you want. playtest is just a word. the game once activated appears as a standalone game in the library. playtest means basically nothing. it's just a word. closed beta means nothing. it only means you can play if you own the key. i'm not saying steam takes its cut, idk. but for me this is totally plausible, and even not strange. idk where you've grabbed that betas are cut free?? betas are just early access

1.The money you pay on Patreon goes directly to the developers. Steam doesn’t see it and doesn’t get a cut.
2.Closed Beta is not just a word — it means the developers control who can play at this stage. Only people with a valid key can access the beta, so it’s a real system provided by Steam
3.Steam only takes 30% when someone buys the game inside Steam itself. If it’s not bought in Steam, Steam gets nothing.

Even if you play the game in your Steam library, all the Patreon money goes to Project Helius, not Steam.

If you want, go and read the official rules yourself instead of arguing about something you dont fully understand:

idk if it's me or something. But i have a tremendous luck so far. it's almost if any scene i wanted got systematically dropped. all the scenes i wanted i got almost all of them in a row
another advice i'd give to beginners the girl Yuzi is not a woman. it's a mannequin type doll. in short it's a bot. i tell it in case you'd find her cute, and would like to buy her quickly. she's cute tbh, but it's a robot
I still think it's a good game. But i also think that the key is not to spend like a hog. if you do like with star citizen you spend 300E in an aircraft while the game doesn't exist, there's obviously a moment where you'll start complaining. if you spend 30/40E at first, then 15/20 every two/three months then i think it's a good purchase. But if you start to spend cash each time you spot something cool into the shop, the game will become costly very fast. in game money should be used only for purchasing premium pass IMHO. there are tons of cool free stuff available, unless you are able to show patience
