Interesting perspective!hi, i'll start by saying that i'm not a fan of ntr, but it doesn't mean that i'm that kind of person that say things like " ntr sucks, you cucks" etc etc.
i didn't play previous game but from what i read it seems good if you like ntr instead this seems criticized for its ntr content and i was wondering why.
Bland ntr ? few ntr event in a game that shouldbe full ntr ?
if you say that this game is built to fund the other one shouldn't dev make a game that should please both sides ntr/vanilla fans ?
i mean, you have everything: context ( sister curse), good fc etc etc why can't let player decide how story will go buy gameplay/story choiches , exp: full corruption route, full vanilla and a mix of both.
Maybe development would require more time but surely it would mean more income since you take a bigger audience.
i don't want to create flame or else, just curious about your ( ntr fan) point of view
I'm not an ntr connoisseur or have any form of qualifications to judge porn games(or any games at all) so take what I say with skepticism.
TLDR; Nebel is more stimulating and you feel more accomplishment/guilt. Priestess game feels like just another ntr game and there's dissapointment because we've seen BBQ create great things with nebel.
My(and many other people's) criticism towards the game compared to nebelgeister is the stance the main character takes. In nebelgeister the heroine is fully independent and we the player are supposed to try and find Kana before she get's molested in order to stay on the pure love route. Moreover nebel had a well developed time system and you had a certain number of moves to find Kana. Moreover in the dungeons(cuz part of the game is exploring haunted locations) there's also a time system AND a heartbeat tracker letting you know(in real time!) when Kana is feeling strong emotions(either when fighting a powerful enemy or when she's getting molested) and you are able to intervene(also in real time) by calling the heroine.
Compared to this, in the priestess game Trina is with you almost at all times(which drastically decreases the likelihood of ntr events since she has no independence and is just attached to you). The night events just cannot be interacted with and you're only able to see the result(which like a previous post said effectively just makes this like a scene collector). You are to a certain degree able to stay on the pure love route by providing Trina with your mana but it just feels boring, unlike nebel you don't get the sense of accomplishment from saving Trina from sticky situations(which you do get with kana) so for pure love it also doesn't work extremely well. All in all, I can't say that the prietess game is very different from most ntr games on the market with maybe another step?(being that you don't see the H scene right away and can only watch it later)
I would like to reiterate that I have absolutely no knowledge in psychology whatsoever and this is all based on speculation but from my pov as someone who enjoys all forms of porn games(ntr or not) NTR fans who get off to their heroines becoming someone else's like the guilt that comes with failing to protect their loved one or/and the feeling of betrayal. Nebel did this very well because we have the ability to protect Kana but we might fail. Fallen priestess however doesn't have that, we either do one very monotonous thing and Trina never has to leave the house at night or we don't do anything and she goes out at night. It lacks stimulation and overall I don't feel very strong emotions when playing the game.
BBQ's signature is kinda just ntr games, the guy HAS to make ntr games it's his calling or smth so the priestess game is going to be mainly just ntr. I too would agree that adding more vanilla stuff would make the game more accessible but the dev is already having issues finishing the game as is, making them add more content might actually drive them to madness.if you say that this game is built to fund the other one shouldn't dev make a game that should please both sides ntr/vanilla fans ?

Also there's just a time constraint, yes we all mostly agree that if the dev put in a bit more work even if the mechanics aren't perfect the game is at the very least going to be pretty good. However my understanding is that BBQ isn't exactly swimming in money and sort of needs funding to continue his fps game-> Just a theory but if the funding is insufficient, the team might disband or put the project on hold, once its put on hold its gonna take an ungodly amount of time to get everyone back on track which is just disadvantageous, BBQ would rather have this game flunk a bit but still bring in money than let the FPS game get off track(partially because from BBQ's and our point of view the FPS game might as well be the first of it's kind, like WOW a fps game that's also ntr).
