My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined. I am genuinely disappointed by this decision from BBQ. It feels really half-assed tbh...
On the bright side the pixel animations do not count towards the total cg amount.
My guess is that it was a pure business decision. Art production is always a major bottle-neck for hentai game development. My understanding is that the pixel stuff is being made by a different artist than the one that's doing the CGs. What this means is that BBQ can have someone else work in parallel with the other artist while he handles the coding stuff for the events... which is obviously not easy... but if the brothel has already been mostly done, then it's just a matter of adding in more events.
You gotta go through the thread to find recent versions that have been uploaded.
I'd much rather this game just get as much time as needed to truly be complete, but given that this is basically to be a fundraiser for the fps game that seems to be his actual passion project, I guess I'd rather cut corners on the brothel part then somewhere else? Nebel motion animation releases soon(this friday I think?)
0.6 demo information:
-Mainly focused around the eastern district,
-Big expansions on the brothel
-Brothel will not have any Hcg, only pixel animations
-Brothel content is completely avoidable(hidden ending route?)
-Lots of new content added mainly rpg focused content such as items and weapons that are not necessarily connected to the plot
-East district nightlife implemented-> probably bar content, brothel content, dancer content(I remember there was a cg featuring that in a previous post), casino content and more.
-Implementation of voice acting(which... isnt very useful since up till now none of the fights were really important to the story, It's not bad in itself however so good thing)
