I am disappointed it wasn't a woman in the car and they didn't take her with them, but I'm sure you'll find time and reasons to introduce additional ladies.

Have to say, the premise seems interesting. The intro song that was playing inside the jeep can be said that in a sense, detonated in fury the normalcy of the protagonist's night (and life), now that a full-blown zombie outbreak/pandemic is currently happening. That part with the guy that got later eaten in the building's basement as he tried to delete his photo gallery from his mobile reminded me of the "if I die, please delete my browser history" shirts/posters. Got me a laugh when it happened. Would be nice to see how this project develops later in the future.

P.S: It'd be interesting if somebody knows the song that played inside the jeep.

Thank you for your comment! The song that's played in the Jeep is called "Detonate my fury" that's how I named it lol. I made it in Suno which is an AI that creates songs based on the lyrics and music styles you give them

Instant text speed needs to be an option, please. I'm pretty sure text speed is a default option in Ren'Py. If that's the case, odd that the dev decided to remove it. It's annoying to watch text flow out even if that's the speed with which you prefer the players to read it.

The dev really outdid himself this time – he blocked the option to set the text speed, and on top of that, assigned different values to it. I read much faster than the text appears, which makes it really frustrating as I have to wait for each new letter to show up. But I wanted to give the game a chance, so I changed the values.


For those who are also bothered by this:

1. Download the package.
2. Extract it to FallingApart/game.
3. Enjoy instant text on the screen.
4. Let the dev know that this wasn't a good move.

ps. This won't work with future versions, but if I like the game, I'll modify it for myself and share it with you. Though I hope the dev will come to his senses and allow for text speed adjustment.
ps2. It’s possible that in some sections of the game, the text won't be instant. I haven’t checked all the files, and knowing the dev’s determination to make the player’s life harder, I wouldn’t be surprised if other texts also have delay values ranging from 10 to 150 xD.

I agree it's a really great start, but how many great starts have we seen on this site only to have them devolve into crap because the entire story was never fully fleshed out, or the dev gets sick of it and quits? It's a tough gig... it's a lot of fucking thankless hours of work. Here's hoping the dev can keep it together and figure out how to manage it without burning themselves out.

I don't see many great starts like you said. Most of them are copy-paste from other avns. Games who don't offer anything unique and follow common boring, overused patterns.

This game compared to others have epic start. Straight to the action, keep player interested the whole time and you don't want to hit alt +f4. You want to see more

Hope it will have harem path, setup is perfect for that - our brave hero resuce random girls and invite them to the group. Thankfully MC is not a scared soyboy loser, it's more believable when girls completely fall for a guy like him
