I am intrigued by the mental patient concept, and I am currently downloading this game. I will provide real feedback after I've played it. In the meantime, I saw a couple interesting points I feel the need to respond to.
(NOTE: having finished this post, I realize now I am writing a
big check going so far off-topic and promising a review later. I will write as thorough and constructive a review of the game as I can after I play it to compensate. Sorry for the distraction, but my brain went crazy with words that needed to be typed.)
I just wish there would come the day that people would stop complaining about Ntr, Netorare, Futa etc. and focus on the Game, you can play a great Game where even with the Ntr tag you will get the chance to avoid it,or maybe there is just a small scene at the end...., people are already condemning this game even though there are no Ntr scenes in it at the Moment.
This is a Community with different fetishes.....Live with it......
And for the folks posting that they are not downloading or playing the game, I don't believe that most members are Interested in knowing this, that info is not very productive.
Just my damn Thoughts.
I think part of the problem is that some people here actually appreciate a quality story and enjoy seeing the different perspectives of authors on various subjects, even when they have different perspective themselves, especially on controversial subjects, while other people are here to fap.
If fapping is one's only goal, then obviously they are only going to be interested in things that contain the fetish they want, and they will not be interested in things that contain fetishes they dislike. This is also why arguments about the accuracy of the tags comes in. If someone who digs hermaphrodites but is turned off by trans imagery checks out a game that says futa, but noone has a vagina, then that is useless to their goal of fapping.
Personally, I get up about it because my father was a professional linguistic specialist and things like accurate word usage and grammar trigger all the times I heard him yell at news casters who pronounced "long lived" in the wrong tense, and so on. Also, I happen to have not only a fetish for futa, but also a genuine reverence for hermaphrodism and the philosophical balance it represents,
and I am a very open-minded and socially conscious person who knows trans people hate the confusion and being called futas.
Someone else mentioned that they do not "self insert" with the MC, which I take to mean
identify with in the sense of story immersion. Personally, I love immersion. I have a very willing suspension of disbelief, and it honestly never occurred to me to watch a movie, read a book, or play a game
without identifying with the MC. With that said, I am intested in the stories (when there is one), and I don't mind being exposed to things that go against my personal fetishes, because I can just read through that part as a story. I don't have to fap to every scene in the game if there are scenes that don't do it for me. Hell, my current favorite game from here was so good, I actually
forgot I was planning to masturbate at all. I got so engrossed in the story that I just took the sex scenes as part of the story. I had to stop playing for a day, stuck at a save point with the choice of who to save from a burning house. I cared enough for the characters that I had a hard time with that scene, even knowing it's a game and I would obviously go back to the save point later for the other route. I can't imagine getting that emotionally invested in a story without immersion, and for me that's an important part of enjoying a good story, but to each their own.
So, in conclusion, tags should be as accurate as can be, because otherwise they serve no purpose at all. If you're just here to fap, I understand your frustration, but seriously, you do not need to tell everyone what you are
not fapping to. You're wasting your own time as much as everyone else's. This is the internet, if what you're looking for isn't on this particular page, there are literally billions of other pages you can search through.
(Yes, I edit my own posts to correct my own grammar. I am a nerd.)
