The MC being quick on the uptake is basically part of the plot. He isn't a clueless NTR cuck fodder. I mean, he's about as resourceful as a high school kid going through some insane ordeal could be. Granted, I am still speaking within the porn standards. In real life, the first thought should have been to try and record the conversations.

The branching plots in the recent chapters are really interesting. I'm honestly dying to know how it goes from here. The NTR route is a bit predictable I guess, but we shouldn't count it out. The dev has not written a cookie cutter NTR plot so far. The other route is what really has my attention though.

I always do a facepalm whenever I see obviously stupid thought processes and decisions. Becky tells Parker that the cops approached her, and after everything he and his mom have been through, he actually believed that the cops didn't do anything? That's just idiotically stupid. It's just baffling that anyone in that situation can be that stupid, especially someone as "bright" as Parker. He even says the cops are out to get him, but he can still sit there with a straight face and think, "But yea, they definitely haven't roped Becky in this whole thing. Thank god."

Sorry, just needed to make that little rant.

EDIT: Props to Carl not being an idiot and thinking logically about the situation (even though it didn't matter in the end). And Parker continues to be an idiot. He gets sent naked pictures of Becky, and his initial reaction is Carl definitely sent them, and she's cheating on him with Carl. Seriously, what an idiot. I hope his entire world comes crashing down due to him being a complete moron.

The last few chapters have been about the cops grooming MC to join them and the MC showing some initiative. After all that, picking the "get cucked" option seems stupid in and of itself. And then he goes back to being kind of retarded as you say. Kind of par for the course for an NTR MC, I suppose. The other route probably shows more growth (or at least corruption) for the MC. I find it stories where MC get corrupted really awesome. I'm thinking this one will end up with him being a misogynistic fuck like the cops lol.

The people who are ambivalant to NTR might have something to enjoy. This isn't really the cliche NTR where the wife falls for some big cock and get corrupted. It's more of a blackmail and abuse of power story. Plus, there is a route where the MC learns from these asshole cops and maybe joins the hunt one day. The people who get offended by NTR should obviously pass. All the nuance would be lost on them anyways.

There were a couple additional scenes with her recently. But we probably won't see much of her anymore given the plot development. It's a shame. I was hoping she would play a role in corrupting Becky through the cheerleading team (maybe with the help of the football team). It would have been a different type of corruption/blackmail not involving the cops. But that's not the direction the VN is going. Seems like it's purely focused on the cops and how they corrupt and blackmail vulnerable women.

I'm a bit conflicted on routes A and B. I kinda want to continue working with the cops, but I also want Becky corruption the most (and sister making MC jealous with Carl too tbh). That photo shoot scene was insanely hot. So I guess have to go route B.

Not a huge fan of blackmail and pretty much anything against the will, but corruption (even super slow) of an angel like Becky is great.

Originally, I assumed the MC would hook up with his mom and sister but I'm not sure if that's gonna happen at this point. We'll see. Humiliation and blackmail seem to be the main theme here.
I define NTR as cheating on the MC so I'm not seeing much of that yet.

I'd argue it's completely out of the left field of pretty lil girlfriend says to you "They came and asked some questions about blah blah blah", and for you to flip out and say "I don't believe you tell me what they really did to you".

How does it work in your real life? Your fall prey to your assumption without proof? You fail to listen to people you love and trust? That's OK but most normal people believe it when the people they love tell them something. They don't doubt them because of some preconceived notion they have on someone else.

You can argue that Parker could've been a bit more tactful and tell Becky "I wouldn't talk to them, they are corrupt" or "You should be careful around them, they're dangerous". But I think your criticism is incorrect to think that Parker needs doubt Becky's words over his image of the police.

The only thing Parker should've said: "Hey, be super careful with them, they might try to blackmail you to get to me, don't trust a word they're saying, it will only end badly for you and me".

Because if I heard those cops are talking to Becky, that's literally the only thing I'd think about, and she would probably try to quietly protect me, even though it would be bad for her, because she's very compassionate person. Seems super obvious, especially because that's literally what happened to his mom already. At some point he should get a clue.

I have a feeling that route A will deal with the MC slowly losing faith in women in general. Be it his mom, sis, or even Becky. If this is the case, I can also see Becky corruption at the hands of the MC, but who knows heh.

At least, I feel like route A flows better with the plot that was being set up prior to that decision.

Crawling out from under my rock for just a minute or three.

I wanted to take the opportunity to say that I really appreciate the reactions and the spirited discussion. Even if there are elements that you don't like, the fact that many of you have, well, "strong opinions" on what should have happened or should happen in the future is personally gratifying. With so many "I'm waiting for X to happen," I'm sure you understand that not everybody is going to get what they want. Still, I do pay attention to the feedback, and can definitely say that there are plot elements that have changed from "the original plan" as a result of all of you. Maybe once it's all done and over we'll discuss those, and some of the underlying "why things went the way they did." There are reasons for a lot of it. Not all of it - there's definitely a few "why the hell not's" scattered around, but still...

I did want to address one item - the distinction between "realistic" and "plausible." There are elements of this story that, frankly, push the bounds of "realistic." Or possibly push past them. (You know what they are as well as I do.) But "plausible" is a somewhat looser standard than "realistic," and, frankly, I've yet to run into an "adult" game or KN that really met the "realistic" standard. So, what I'm trying to do is to stay within "plausible" while still having some fun with the story. To have the characters all have their strengths and weaknesses, and acting the way that someone with those strengths and weaknesses might act, without any "that couldn't possibly happen" moments. (And for those that haven't been around since the beginning of this thread, I'll repeat that I spent a good chunk of my childhood in the South in the 1960's, when and where there were plenty of cops who did whatever the hell they damn well pleased with impunity. So please don't use "can't possibly" with respect to Bill and Paul.) (And, yes, if you do the math, you'll figure out that I'm a dinosaur. There's a reason for my avatar's tag line.)

Also, I regret that I can't bang out "update of the month" on this. This update, in particular, did take longer than I wanted - no question about it. But it was a combination of "life happened" and some last-minute extensions to the chapter. "Quality over speed" has been my motto. That isn't going to change. (And, per the terms of the OP, you're allowed to jump all over the next newbie who says "when's the next update. Which, given past history, I'm expecting within a couple of weeks. LOL)

Finally, to those of you who are supporting me on Patreon or SubscribeStar, or who have donated assets, or who have offered their assistance, or who have just tossed a few words of encouragement my way on Discord or here - THANK YOU! I've discovered that this is a much lonelier endeavor than I thought it would be when I embarked on it (particularly after JohnCBB left) and the temptation to just pack it in raises its ugly head now and again. It's the support, via whatever means, of all of you that keeps me going, and keeps me determined to finish what I started.
