Except that he hasn't - that was the entire point of STDH, as he indicated. If you want stats, 4 out of 11 of the stories there involve Parker and his sister. That doesn't sound like "consistently rejected" to me.

Consider making a Path C when you're done current Path and you'll see what I mean. It will greatly extend the life of this game and definitely expand the width of your wallet.

So, you want him to invest months of his time on this new path based solely on your "expert opinion" that "people will come?" This place has a long history of people promising "I'll subscribe if..." and not following through, since they can usually rely on somebody else who is paying to post the game for them. What makes you think that, even if he did so, that this project would somehow stand out among all the other incest-based projects here enough to "widen his wallet?" "Top 5 are X" does not instantly translate into "X will put you in the Top 5."

Note that I'm not saying that this isn't great work. But Rich has made it clear that it was targeted at a different niche, and you're hammering him because it isn't your preferred niche. If that's what you're looking for, then maybe you should be looking elsewhere.

No, there has never been incest anywhere in this game and tags are being set either by the OP poster or forum staff, so they are often wrong and go against what the author has said and confirmed.

But you might be confusing the main game with the Scenes That Didn't Happen.



Sometimes the word is just a word, without double meanings or winking. Definitely not a "misleading advertisement", but a descriptive word for the actual set of characters in the game.

Now I don't know if the Dev did a 180 and decided not to have incest in the game and had it removed or if the people that posted it on this site simply made a mistake, but it did have an "INCEST" tag on it when it was first posted. Tags are set by F95 staff or the thread OP owner, often without asking the dev or his consent. As you can see, this thread was not created by Rich and neither were the original tags.
Looks like whoever set the tags, expected the game to follow John's original story, but this has never been the intention for the game.

And as you can see, the false tag was removed later on.

I'm pretty sure this is not the first time I've said this.
BTW, you've been here long enough to know how tagging works around here and how much game developers have control over their creation on F95

Well, if you recall the story, Emily is off in ALC, whereas Parker is not, and Emily has latched onto a new boy over there after Parker left. So there is relatively little opportunity for Emily and Parker to cross paths.

I had one STDH scene in mind for Emily, but my supporters over on SubscribeStar were all kind of "meh" about more content for her, so I've been focused on where my supporters are more interested.

Almost correct. I actually created the thread, but all the initial tags were put on by other people. I sort of had a running battle with the folks that would run around tagging stuff because there were a number of tags that were put on that weren't correct, I removed them, somebody else re-added them, etc., etc.

I personally am grateful for this game, do I like every single thing about it? No but I like it well enough and I appreciate Rich being active on the forum.

I completely understand wanting to make the game more to the liking of people who are ACTUALLY supporting the game. If I were a dev that is exactly what I would do and honestly Rich is a lot more patient with people who constantly demand stuff but aren't contributing 1 cent to the work. I asked for something a couple of times and got an answer.... wasn't the answer I hoped for but I moved on.

I have tried to recreate her, but she's pretty unique. I think he used a couple characters and some custom adjustments to her. I tried to narrow down which and I thought I was close but... she's a tough one. I agree though, very nice character, and a fairly unique combination I think.

You're correct. She's a mix of several characters, with a bunch of "knob-twiddling" on top of that. I specifically wanted her NOT to be a clone of characters you see in other VN's.

...Incest specifically is present in the Top 5 games on this board (Top 7/10 by Likes, Top 5 by Views, and Top 4/9 by Weighted Rating).

I'm glad you're enjoying it.

To be frank, I haven't figured out yet how far I'm going to carry this project. It's been fun, but it's also been going on for a LONG time. Whether I want to keep pushing forward or else wrap this up soon and move on to something else is a big TBD right now.

I think the decisive factor in this case is internal impulses. If, reflecting on what has already been done, you want to add something else, tell about some new plot or about the development of what already exists. Then it makes sense to continue.
But if all thoughts are occupied with something else, the idea of another story excites, there is a desire, using the acquired experience, to tell it. Then, we need to finish this project and start a new one.
