You're right; I was thinking of Thailand. I edited my post.japanese dont go barefoot, they have house slippers, even for guests.
Heck, I didn't even know I was 'watching' this thread. I certainly don't remember what it was about.Still no news of a release date on here? sad...

I was just about to leave a comment to recommend a better first post to promote the game.Faces from screenshots look awful.
In Family of Choice, you step into the shoes of a character whose life takes an unexpected turn.
Except when you're in the house.Yeah, like I said, it really just varies. In a lot of big cities — especially if you're in more of a slums area, but also in general — I've seen most people wear their shoes and socks around the house most of the day.
Nope. Even when you're in the house.Except when you're in the house.![]()
dunno where i live thats not really a common thing maybe cause we have many goatheads but most everyone i know take their shoes off when theyre gonna get ready to go to bed i dunnoYeah, like I said, it really just varies. In a lot of big cities — especially if you're in more of a slums area, but also in general — I've seen most people wear their shoes and socks around the house most of the day. There are probably different reasons: if it's a dangerous neighborhood, you never know when you'll have to leave; if it's a dirty area, well, you don't want to give yourself something by being barefoot everywhere; if you're in a culturally-influenced place (Thai, for example), you might go barefoot because of tradition regardless.
Anyway, enough of the feet stuff already. My entire point was (1) that it's fairly common in many places to go barefoot; and so (2) it didn't strike me as odd or gross to see characters in Family of Choice going without socks and shoes. View attachment 4515359
...OK? I never at any point said shoes stay on when lying on a bed and sleeping. I mean, no offense, but that was kind of out of left field, TBH.dunno where i live thats not really a common thing maybe cause we have many goatheads but most everyone i know take their shoes off when theyre gonna get ready to go to bed i dunno
neither did i, i only said thats the only time ive seen anyone take their shoes off meaning its odd for me that people take their shoes off when going inside a house i dont think thats to far out of that discussion...OK?
