For one thing the short story that disturb me is that mess up my experience of my playthrough. For me, the event is just too sudden that the game just imply teasing only.
If later game won't mention a hint of it, I will just pretend it never happen.

There is no explicit function for that yet. You need to start the game from the beginning, and enter the name there. After that, you can open any safe and the name should be ok.
