that’s exactly why I won’t add such a scene to the game:

1. The MC was never intended to be bi — if he were, I would’ve had to restructure the whole game.
2. I find it totally believable that someone could have one gay experience, realize it isn’t for them, and still be a swinger — because that’s real life.
3. Philipp’s gay coming-of-age path was already part of the concept when I designed the game.
4. I have a clear vision for the game and its ending, and I want to keep it consistent.

And just to add: even if a person has one sexual encounter with the same sex, that doesn’t mean the whole game has to be structured around it. Exploration can add character depth without redefining the story.

I do value the feedback, but not every idea will fit. If I tried to follow every suggestion, the game would lose its focus and identity.

That said — if enough subscribers genuinely ask for such a scene, I’d be open to revisiting the idea. You’ve got two and a half weeks while I’m away on vacation and before start developing Chapter 15.

I think you've made your stance on this very clear so I won't try arguing that this storyline would actually totally make sense with your vision or anything; as the dev you're the only one who gets to decide that.

I will say, though, in regards to the MC's sexuality, that I just don't believe that introducing an MC/Philipp scene/story, or, frankly, even a questioning/curious path, would really warrant restructuring the whole game. It could be just another optional fork in the story like the Philipp bi/gay path, and the new flashback scene could just be a jumping point from where the split could start. I don't think "the whole game has to be structured around it", but an optional side route? Sure, why not?

To be clear, I don't think the MC should suddenly become bi all of a sudden, but, like with Phil, certain events could push him towards exploring his sexuality again and seeing what he's comfortable with. If going by what is realistic or not, there are plenty of real life instances of adults coming out or redefining their sexualities well into adulthood.

I’ve already integrated a wide range of kinks into the game, but I can’t realistically add everything without losing focus or driving myself crazy.

And honestly — if I tried to follow every suggestion here, I’d probably end up in Arkham already. They range from “drop Philipp completely” to “add a Tyras/Philipp scene,” or from “remove all swinger content” to “add even more swinger content.”

Having said that, not sure if it's just me but lotta and stein dialogue in chapter 13 when you meet the husband throws me into a constant exception error, thankfully I can continue when pressing ignore. Could be my save is old and fucked, but just thought I'd say something here.

This is exactly what I meant. Max as a "romanceable character" doesn't interest me, only his role as in a fetish shared by Phillip and Tanisha. You made me realize what I wanted was already mostly in the game (and probably what made me think about it in the first place), so my suggestion to the author is merely that the conversation with Tanisha about Max could occur even if you choose to date Elise. If scene "scheduling" means a lot of conflicts between Max and Elise, I wouldn't mind losing scenes that would only be meaningful if Phillip were romantically interested in Max, keeping others, like the threesome with Tanisha, that make sense in a fetish path with Max. Maybe adding other scenes with Tanisha in that spirit, even without max - would be interesting to see the couple doing a gloryhole together

Just because you don't mind giving it up doesn't mean others don't want gay romance. Everyone's sexual orientation and preferences can be respected, so please also respect that there are players in this series who want a gay romance, especially gay players who pay to support the author.

Did you read what I posted earlier? " More nuanced choices: if the player so wishes, Phillip can feel attracted to the surfer boy, or not (first choice, what we already have). If not, later on, Phillip can accept Tanisha's "dare" to invite the boy to a threesome with her, or refuse it". I explained that I was suggesting an alternative route, not a replacement. Never said that romancing Max should be replaced, only suggested there could be an alternative. Players would wanted to romance Max would be able to, players who wanted a fetish route would have it as well. I hope it's not hard to understand that stating one's preference doesn't imply an attack on others', so I kindly ask you to respect mine. I never criticise a game based on my standards taken as an absolute scale. Maybe I'm naive to excpect others to do the same. Especially, when I suggest a nuanced option, I'm often told it's "niche" by offended zoomers who can't think beyond categories. Diversity is the spice of life.

MCK-Games I'm sorry if my post came out the wrong way. I never mean to push authors in any direction and strongly believe they should steer the game where they want to. When I post a suggestion, I'm merely putting it out there, where it may or may not be picked, there's no expectation. It could be picked by anyone else and gain traction, perhaps reflect in other games - or just be ignored. I don't even argue on its merit. I'm in a creative profession myself and know there's a balancing act that needs to be played, between defending one's vision (and belief on where the quality of the final result lies) and a client's expectations. Above all, I hope you're having fun making your own game.

I'm sorry but I don't buy that. From the start this was a "MC has incest with his daughters" type game and when you start hinting (and then outright stating) that Phil has gay/bi-curious sensibilities and have him actually exploring his sexuality with another guy then the logical implication is that there would be eventually dad/son content. If he didn't want that then he should have left Phil as a 100% straight character.

Plus as I stated above, this is another case of letting your patrons/audience dictate what should be in your game. I can guarantee you that the people who voted this down weren't even playing the gay content anyways. So why is he letting them ruin it for the rest of us? Have a clear vision of what you want your game to be and don't let your subscribers say otherwise. I've played too many games where that happened and they all became a muddled mess (with a lot of them eventually being abandoned)

Ironically, even if you become a paying member who's open to same-sex scenes or father-son relationships, there's no guarantee your idea will be optional. During the initial open voting, there was a group of members who were open to the father-son option, but it's clear that even if father-son and same-sex relationships were optional, they still wouldn't be accepted by another group, who, unfortunately, are the majority of paying members.

I don't want to argue, just make sure it's clear that 1) I'm not offended by gay romance, though not interested; this by itself isn't a statement of identity, I believe! 2) Max' route is fine and I'd even enjoy playing it, what makes it difficult for me is to avoid choosing Elise when given the option; 3) the whole point of my post was that I was up for a threesome with Max and Tanisha that didn't involve rejecting Elise; the fact that it would mean rejecting Max romance is a consequence of how this choice is structured in game, with Elise and Max being separate and non-combinable branches; this is fine for both people who enjoy gay romance and those who do not wish to see it altogether, but excludes people who are open to a character's bisexual experimentation without romance; if this sounds like objectification and fetishization, that's because it is, I thought F95 was the last forum on earth to moralize about fetishist choices; 4) I'm aware of what the conversation is, so I often add disclaimers to my posts stating that I mean no offense. And I never do it in a patronizing way such as "bro, sorry, not to kink shame or anything...". I'm sorry that I can't add a disclaimer to every single post, forum threads have that drawback, sometimes you have to follow a conversation up to understand its full context. I play this as a two-protagonist game. Can see why some people see it go wrong between Phillip and his father, because often times other games have pitched father-son antagonism. But in this you can make them cool with each other easily and enjoy extra swinging and sharing scenes. I wouldn't mind if Kiara teased the MC with having sex with Phillip, he'd "punish" her for it (as she enjoys being punished) but wouldn't hold it against his son at all if they're sharing.
