Yeah. The game is primarily in Japanese currently. Only about a handful of UI and things are in English when you get the language setting changed. There's a couple people here working on some translations stuff in their free time, but I haven't seen a post yet for 0.791. In the meantime, you could potentially try mtool's translate feature. Keep in mind though that with there being TONS of text + the game being on a rather old rpgmaker (XP), ymmv with performance with that option.

Ahh ok thank you for the reply, also i downloaded someones saves from here buut im mega lost af rn, like is there a complilation of scenes or gallery or something? the cave area with the nun in background(back of school warp?) has me curious but no idea what to even begin doing there

Not quite sure about scene comps or galleries, but there is a area ingame to view events and another for battle memories. You'll find them by going in the portal at Shiten (The floating island), next to the quest golem. The well near the back takes you to the event viewer room, and the shrine arch before that on the left side takes you to the re-battle room.

oh boy its so damn tuff to do but it is possible you

need alot sp potions for skills heal
Amulets to get rid of stat decress import for defence and what not
mosterious energy for tiredness
cure all for fainting
its possible theres soul to help with these i havent found one but i did do this without souls in a old ass version
main one being fainting and tiredness

you got power through heavy near the end if you can get past the long treck you can use magic just as you go into the next area if you time it all right you can pop off heals and get everyone back up
