After Pale Carnations it's really hard to find excuses for bad graphics. You can do absolute marvels with Honey Select if you put enough effort into it. Some devs do not even bother to do proper anti-aliasing or render at least in fucking 1080p.

i get your point but 99% of devs dont have the equipment or experience to produce that level of quality. but yeah having standard hs animations with default camera angles isnt worth playing imo

It sucks that better animations and models arent accessible to every dev, but game development is at the end of the day an effort that requires a certain amount of capital, and without any specific work on making your game look good, at best it looks like a generic illusion game and at worst feels worse than those asset flip horror games on steam new releases page.

I think the focus at the moment is AOSM since that has seen the most active development lately.

If he puts up another patreon poll soon we'll know what direction things are going.
